Andrea has got some personal issues that get in the way of being open minded and fair. She was a court ordered attorney for my son. He needed what she refused to consider because I had severe pain from a botched surgery. She would not even speak to me, although she was court ordered to do so. My son was miserable living with his abusive father and selfish step mother. He didn’t get the education he desperately needed. He was afraid to tell Andrea his concerns without my presence. My son has serious problems as a young adult now, and I blame Andrea for his heartbreaking life. Beware of this attorney. She will take your child away from you if you don’t fit with her twisted ideals of what is best for your child. She will also turn a misunderstanding into an all out war. She seems to view a disabled parent as completely useless. It is too late for my son to get the help he needed. This attorney could destroy your child’s life. So beware- you have been warned.

Working with Andrea has been nothing short of miraculous. She gave me excellent legal advice as well as some really good motherly advice. She combines her legal expertise with a very caring heart and I felt like I was in great hands with her.

When it came time to placing our daughter in an RTC and dealing with IEPs, we were overwhelmed, confused and scared. Then we hired Andrea Tytell. She has handled our difficult challenges gracefully as well as professionally. It’s not easy bringing someone on board when you feel desperate and, to be honest, you can get suspicious as there are opportunists abound. She is not only part of our daughters’ team, but has also connected with us like family. She knows this space very well, she is cordial and – rightfully so – has also called us out when we didn’t keep our eyes on the prize, and that is our daughter’s well-being. Andrea and her staff have helped guide us through some VERY treacherous minefields of IEP’s and RTC’s miscommunications, etc. She gave us something we could not have received without her—A peace of mind and a decent night’s sleep. I have been Mrs. Tytell’s client for 3 years. She has always been attentive competent and compassionate. I would definitely recommend her services. She helped my child and I through a very difficult time. Her office staff is wonderful and equally as caring.

Worst mistake I have ever made in hiring council! Please read all her reviews carefully, and from multiple sources, do not be fooled! Very unprofessional, inappropriate sexual innuendos, rude, horrible service, bad legal guidance that our judge pretty much laughed at and almost ruined my upstanding reputation in the courts. Has no clue what she is doing, just a big talk to grab your retainer and then an endless nightmare. I am sure she will threaten me after this honest review, just her style. Beware!

I used Andrea some years ago and am sad to see that my negative experience with her was not unique to her circumstances at the time. She canceled many court dates until the judge insisted she phone in, I had one short meeting with her throughout a case that went on for at least a year, was never able to get her on phone and we paid over $10k. The outcome was that my child turned 18 and fired her, other than that nothing was ever decided . Since the judge appointed Andrea there wasn’t much I could do except pay and pay more. The court system was setup to provide employment to lawyers, not to make better situations for parents with difficult kids. My advice would be to go to someone else, be very clear about what the lawyer is doing and why, demand answers or leave and know that kids do grow up and usually turn out fine. You’ll survive this and so will your kid!

Read all the reviews and pay close attention to what they are saying. Yes Tytell can talk the talk but cannot walk the walk. She constantly has something going on in her personal life (dental work, vacations or some other lame excuse of why she keeps putting office your case). She promises to be there for you and even offers you her personal cell # & says call me anytime, maybe we can do coffee BS. She refuses to answers your calls and emails. She only responds to when you question her bill. She plays the "victim" of I did the work and I don't work for free act. When I asked her for proof of the negotiation she said she is applauded. Excuse me your my attorney and I should know what has been done and what the other side is doing as well....it's called communication. Not only when I finally spoke to Tytell she was unprofessional and was acting like a teenager and actual used the phrase, "whatever" multiple times. Grow up & do your job. So please BEWARE of this office.

Andrea is the absolute worst. My family paid her $5K and got nothing out of it as she suddenly decided one day that she was no longer interested in representing my son because she no longer felt she was a good fit. I think it had more to do with the fact that my family lives in Coachella Valley and it was too far of a distance for her. She is a total loser. I strongly recommend David German at NEWMAN AARONSON VANAMAN LLP. He is phenomenal and was an absolute blessing to my family. I have used him twice over the past 2 years in an effort to get my autistic son additional services with the district and he has far surpassed my families expectations each time. Please do not be fooled by the Angela's attempt at being sweet at first....she is all about the money.

Ms.Tytell has been my attorney for two years. I've never known anyone who is as intelligent and caring as she is. I have a very complex family matter and she has given me direction during a terrible time in my life. She was with me at all of my appearances and she always on time and ready for business. Ms. Tytell has always been generous with her time, she didn't even charge me for every call we had. She's a class act and a great attorney. I don't know what I would have done without her.

Talks the talk but fails to walk the walk! Promises you the moon, tells you exactly what you want to hear, but after you sign her retainer and pay your deposit IT ALL CHANGES!!!! Her experts turned out to be overpriced with horrible outcomes! She cancels appointments due to her own personal life, she repeatedly postpones IEP dates & court dates, she will refuses to take calls when you question "the madness of it all" and then she will bill you for all of the time she's been wasting.

After speaking with Andre Tytell on the phone she invited us to meet her at her office the next day. She didn't meet us in person, but us to sign a retainer agreement and pay a deposit. Our objective to hire Andrea Tytell was to have her come with us to an official meeting. Unfortunately she didn’t come to the meeting. We terminated the retainer with her, and requested for our deposit/balance. She scammed all our money/deposit from us without meeting us in person or even rendering any services to us. Andrea Tytell is a professional scam artist, she has ethic problems as an attorney and she is neither reliable nor professional in any way shape or form. She is very greedy, charging $400 per hour and will like to trick you into signing a retainer agreement. She will milk your bank account, maliciously obtaining your money by tricks. This is a warning to anybody who is thinking about hiring Andrea M Tytell as an attorney for any reason.

Ms. Tytell did an excellent job in assisting us in a very difficult education law situation involving our special needs daughter. Education law is a niche practice area, and Ms. Tytell had an excellent grasp on our options, and her strategy worked! We couldn't be happier. Her staff is great. Highly recommended!

Too scattered and disorganized to be effective. Lost critical documentation. Routinely failed to return calls. Was almost always late, sometimes extremely late. Frequently canceled appointments. Very emotional, which made her difficult to work with and caused her to upset and alienate many of those working on the case. Worst of all in my case, she submitted a bizarre invoice and became extremely manipulative in trying to make me pay it. Her lack of integrity regarding payment was the worst of the many problems I had with her.
