Matthew Nathanson is, without a doubt, the best criminal defense attorney in all of BC. I know all the top elite criminal defense attorneys in Vancouver, worked with a few which are good as well, but none of them even come close to Super Matt in a court room. This guy goes super saiyan in a court room. Even the top lawyers say Matt is the best. This guy and his team, work like a fine-tuned, well-oiled machine. These guys go harder then any law firm I have ever worked with. Highly, highly recommended. There is a reason why all the high profiles cases are being represented by Matt and his team. His track record speaks for itself. Matt is a one-of-a-kind lawyer! I do not know very many lawyers that come close to how hard Matt and his team go. These guys actually care about getting W’s. Matt does not like to lose! Hire Matt, you will not be dissatisfied. Guaranteed!

This lawyer got me the highest sentence for my crime. He did not listen to me or take any of the case law I wanted him to present at my sentencing hearing. This lawyer is arrogant and also got a **** consecutive life sentences for the first time ever in Canada. 50 years without a CHANCE of parole.

We had the same experience as the person doing the first rating - total lack of communication. I scored his tenacity high because he was tenacious at obtaining money from client. He lied and said client had retained him and then said he would be the best lawyer possible for the case. Charged high fees then didn't provide service the fees were paid for, and then kept all the fees anyway. Don't know about knowledge but he managed to get client highest sentence possible for the type of offence.

I can't comment on his knowledge because I haven't seen him in action nor had much in the way of communication. The few times I have spoken to him, I get the feeling he doesn't have as much knowledge in gun law as he led me to believe. Regarding his communication, it is terrible. As an example, I phoned, left messages with his answering machine, his receptionist and on his Email a total of 12 times over a period of three months before he called me. This lack of communication was an ongoing event. Regarding work quality, I haven't seen anything to indicate he has done anything. After two years before the courts without ever having a chance to appear, I have no idea what work he has done. Value is not there. He charges top dollar. His policy is to take lump sums from the retainer rather than bill for individual services. He told me he charges $5,000.00 a day to appear in court. I don't feel he is worth that kind of money. I cannot reccomend him to anyone needing help.
