Talked a big game. Told me he would make sure my wife would not be able to leave the area. Told me he was going to make sure that I got my half of our property. Dealt with 4 paralegals in 5 months. I met with two in person and talked with one on the phone. Each time, we went over the divorce decree and my counter. All three discussions were the same and I was billed for all. Counter was not sent to my ex-wife's attorney until the 4th paralegal. By then it was too late to avoid trial. I had to come up with another $7,500 for trial and basically got what I agreed on in my counter. 20 minutes before the trial, he convinced me that my daughter would grow up to resent me if I didn't let her and her mother move out of the Dallas area. He showed no interest in going to trial or fighting for me. Yes, the decisions were mine to make but 20 minutes to make a life altering decision? BS. he had 9 months to discuss the options with me and let me mull it over. RUN AWAY AND DON'T LOOK BACK.

In the case matter of Steve and Mary Harvey, Gibbs has displayed an act of collusion, forgery and attemp to intimidated Essie Berry Civil Rights Activist and power of Attorney for Mary Harvey. Gibbs knew of property. That was not divided upon divorce. Decree in Texas. He has been working with The Judges and all parties involving Steve Harvey aka Family Fued.

Horrible!!!! He nor his staff never return calls or emails but they sure will charge you for it!! Screwed me with my divorce. Don't use him you will regret it!!!

We hired Mr. Gibbs for a simple juvenile case. In the time he had the case, he did nothing at all. He refused to communicate with us, did not file any motions, did not even show up on time for court. We are out 5000 for Mr. Gibbs, but fortunately we found a real attorney to handle the case. you are better off representing yourself than hiring these attorneys.

Horrible lawyer. Don't let his "use to be a cop" lead you to pick him as your choice. He is greedy and hardly works for the hard dollars you earned. Person working for him makes lots of mistakes on legal documents that you have to pay more to get fixed. Very unprofessional. Does not prep you for what you need to do. For this I rated knowledge low. I did most fo the work researching what I needed. Communication is bad because it can take weeks for anyone from his office to return a call. Tenacity is low because this lawyer has hardly anything to do with you. You see him in court and that is about it. Work quality rated low because of the mistakes in paper work and that 3,500 retainer fee gets you couple phone calls and 1 court date before he asks for more money. I rated value low because he just isn't worth it. If you want to feel lost and like you just flushed your 3,500 retainer down the toilet then use this guy!

Mr. Gibbs talked a hard game until we got to court. One he saw his old law school buddy suddenly he wanted to play nice. Over a year later the case is still open and Mr. Gibbs does little more than to ask for more money. If you are reading this before retaining this lawyer...do yourself a favor and keep looking.

My divorce case was very simple. We had no kids, there was no abuse, and no infidelity. We had two of everything and two equal paying careers. We simply grew apart and the marriage became sour. So when my wife decided to sue, Mr. Gibbs was certain it would be "short and sweet" and that she would not get anything she asked for. Almost two years later, lawyers fees and payoff to ex-wife totalled nearly $15,000. It was handled almost exclusively by two different paralegals, and the mis-management of the case was monumental. Court dates were mis-communicated, scheduled phone conferences were missed, court room strategies were changed at the last minute, and very little of the details I provided were ever used in their argument. Every personal and financial detail from me was given to their her lawyers, yet, her details were ever obtained for our argument. I now know she hid a $100+K IRA, yet all of my information was made available for her to scavenge. DO NOT USE THIS LAWYER!!
