I am a police officer who suffered major spinal cord injuries while on the job. It was a complicated background. Involved serious life changing issues, emotional and physical damage.
I consulted this office through a receptionist, she was friendly and sympathetic. I was even referred to Jeffrey Goldberg by another professional.
He did not even have the courtesy to make a 3 minute phone call to say he could not represent my case. I never spoke to him directly. He sent a rejection letter in the mail almost immediately.
Here is an example of another lawyer who is only interested in taking on easy cases for easy money. This is just another run of your mill legal representative who is only interested in a quick dollar. Good luck to all who inquire but don't have high expectations.

While researching a family court lawyer, I decided to look up Jeff who won my 3/4 pension on appeal - after my 2 prior lawyers lost. As an NYPD Captain who has referred over a dozen friends and family (NYPD & FDNY) to Jeff, all of whom later thanked me, I was appalled by the 2019 review below, which was clearly written by an EDP. By all accounts, Jeff is a true gentleman attorney, whose concern for his clients (and even his prospective clients whom he often helps out for no fee of any kind - I know of at least four occasions on which he did this) and vast experience is obvious within a few minutes of meeting him. And he is REALLY good at winning 3/4 disability cases, including mine and those of almost every one of my friends whose cases he handled, which changed our lives. One of my friends who lost (of just two) actually STILL sent me an expensive bottle to thank me for giving him "the best shot possible with Jeff, the best attorney in NY, hands down." Trust me he's THE guy to call.

Warning!!! Jeffrey L. Goldberg takes the cake as one of the worst attorney's I've ever come across in my life. His unprofessionalism, incompetence, greed for money and lack of effort ruined my chances of winning my higher pension. My sister also fell victim to this P.O.S. attorney, forcing her to retire on a less desirable pension. You have a better chance of winning by hiring a crackhead from the local bodega then hiring that P.O.S. After he financially ruined me he then tried to force me to sign a new retainer with another attorney at his firm. He's a narcissist and a master manipulator that uses his past accomplishments from decades ago to win over his clients. You are better off trusting a blood transfusion from Charlie Sheen and Magic Johnson then that P.O.S. Jeffrey L. Goldberg. I pray God gives me enough years of life to witness karma pay that snake a visit.
