You cannot ask for a better family lawyer, especially if you are a father going through a messy divorce and custody case involving CPS. My case proved to be very messy due to them being in the picture multiple times and them catering to my ex who was an unfit mother. Not only did William get me my winning results, but he also made legal history with my case. He is a very experienced and knowledgeable lawyer. He goes into the courtroom prepared and knows all the important facts. Nobody stands a chance against him in cross examination. He is a pitbull ready for battle and I felt very proud to be represented by him. William started out as my lawyer but has now become like family to us. My wife and I still keep in touch with him, and even my daughter has gotten to know what he did for her all those long years. Thanks to William, she now gets to live in a healthy family environment where she is safe, happy and loved. Do not hesitate to hire William, he is amazing and gets the job done.

good reviews are done by his own staff. Beware this lawyer is very nasty to his own clients and too expensive. He works for himself not his clients.

Best decision made to hire Leahy. Won the case very easily. Experienced,very respectful and worked on weekends asking materials be sent.Also had considerable insight to understand inner doings of the other side and that helped case too. Once provided right documents,won a gigantic victory.

Did not pay attention to details of case, repeatedly asked for the same documentation that was already sent, left things till the last minute, kept pushing to drop charges against my ex despite the safety concerns around dropping charges, overstepped during the court hearing and offered more to the other party that he did not discuss with me first, was not willing to change incorrect details in my pre-conference summary and made it seem irrelevant, and kept pushing for the other party to communicate with him, it all seemed like he was looking for an easy way to make more money off a high conflict vulnerable situation.

Poor overall performance. Late on every action item. Multiple communications to increase billing or from lack of attention to earlier responses. Apparent lack of understanding of some fundamental legal principles. Missed deadlines, misleding communication indicating that his client is responsible for missed deadlines rather then he himself. Very concerning overall performance.

Based on my experience, Mr. Leahey was unprepared, lazy lawyer and and unprofessional. I wasted my money, my time and my case. He arrived late to Court and I lost my case.

Mr. Leahey is more sympathetic toward female clients and his prejudice is evident in testimonials and how he handles his cases. While he may be very knowledgeable about and can represent you in family law, real estate and employment law, his performance is inconsistent and varies proportional to his interest in the case and the value it yields him. He asks for repeated copies of the same correspondence and often ignores requests made. He may be tenacious about that which he firmly believes in, but lackadaisical in others. His work quality is somewhat high, but is not without errors and the lack of proof reading has led to issues. I feel he thinks more of himself than the interest of his client and the comments I have overheard from his staff while they were unaware of my presence reflects this type of attitude.

Mr. Leahey did an amazing job protecting me and my children from my abusive ex-husband. He works hard and knows his stuff inside out and is completely up-to-date on current cases and decisions. He may not always give you the answers you want to hear but he will tell you what you can or cannot expect in a court of law and he will not make you false promises. To previous posters who complained about him not caring - he is not here to hold your hand or be your therapist; he's your lawyer and he's saving you money by staying focussed. As for having to resend documents: lawyer and client are a team and you will need to work together. Again, keeping documents organized is a team effort and it is your job as a client to participate in this effort. If you are looking for someone who is respected by judges and his peers alike and who will get the job done, I would highly recommend Mr. Leahey. He is an outstanding trial lawyer who performs best in the courtroom.

he represented me at my child custody hearing, he fought it and won it by being heard,determined and organized, he taught me to work with him as a team, and he won the case. I am so blessed to have my child with me,I don't know what I would've done if I hadn't met this man.Thank you, again and again.
