I was in dire need of a attorney I was very stressed and emotional as I was speaking to Mr. Lee he was rolling is eyes at me and Mr. Pinkham was nowhere to be found for the appointment that I had with him. I told Mr. Pinkham about Mr. Lee behavior he just left it and he said I will tell him. I was looking for solutions that they did not provide just a ridiculous objective and did not respond to my email so I retained a DV attorney which had a time limit that needed response to and he didn’t care to elaborate on it. I had to retain another attorney to take care of the DV issue and told Mr. Pinkham to continue with my Divorce issues but he didn’t want to do that and rejected to continue with my case. In two weeks he charged me $6000 with nothing to show for as to what he discussed with the opposing attorney and what was the outcome for there conversation. Good luck and be careful with his retaining agreement which is nonrefundable.

STAY AWAY. We hired Doug Pinkham to mediate our divorce settlement and ended up finding a new mediator. Doug was extremely unprofessional and rude throughout the process. At one point he lost his temper and screamed profanities at me when I pointed out a math error he had made. He spoke condescendingly and was very obviously biased toward my ex, allowing my ex to speak at great length but then interrupting me and telling me to "be quiet, why do you always need to talk, we already know what you're going to say" etc. This was unbelieveable behavior from someone who is supposed to be a neutral party. In addition, his office staff made billing errors which I had to document and send multiple written requests to fix the errors before they finally acknowledged their mistake. Stay far far away from this guy!

I've been doing business with Doug for several months now and I find him to be honest, knowledgeable, and he is a man of his word. If you have a need for a lawyer in a family matter I would definitely call him.

This lawyer is dishonest. He does not listen to his client he listens to the opposing party!!!! He will take your money then join the opposing party and do work for them and send you the bill. Do not trust him and also he is emotionally unstable He will be reported to the board for his unethical immoral conduct.

This lawyer is the worst mediator ever. My ex-husband and I went to him to mediate our divorce and I ended up with a very unfair and 1 sided settlement in favor of my ex. From the time you walk in his office he assesses who is the weakest of the 2 parties and centers on attacking them and siding with the stronger partner. He will yell and even call you crazy or lie to get you to follow his advice for the sole purpose of reaching a quick settlement. He is neither fair, not is he impartial. My ex wanted to pay as little child support as possible and Mr. Pinkham went as far as to tell me that since my parents were rich they had an obligation to support me and the kids not my ex (meaning my kids dad!!)Yeah! very unethical and one sided. Save yourself a lot of heartache and money, don't choose him to handle your case. Right now I hace been tied up in court for 1 1/2 years trying to undo all the harm that he did in my case.

Awesome attorney! Doug just won a restraining order for me. I was affraid. I wouldn't get the order. and Doug was honest and warned me that it was close, but he did it. Absolutly hire Doug's firm to help you.

I just finished a mediation with Doug and he managed to hammer out a fair settlement between my husband and I. In the beginning we were butting heads and my husband was in denial. After Doug explained the pros and cons of going to court, we decided to negotiate. We wrapped this up in 10 wks and we have saved a tremendous amount of money in fees by mediating. I recommend Doug as a great mediator.

I agree with the majority, great lawyer! Some people may not like Doug's very direct and sometimes sharp personality, but I would trade soft and fluffy for pure, direct honesty in an attorney any day. I also recommend Mr. Pinkham highly.

Mr Pinkham is still working my case. He is doing a great job so far. I am always able to speak to him whwn i want to. He speaks to me directly and honestly. I feel like I can speak to him like a friend as compared to a stuffy, rigid lawyer.

I hired him to represent my son for a restraining order matter and he was very aggressive and was able to get the order denied. I am so grateful with him that he cleared my son's name. He is the family's go to attorney for all matters. I definitely recommend him.

Excelent Attorney. Down to earth, and really knows his stuff. I hired Doug when my divocrce was very contentious, but Doug was able to get my divorce settled before trial, which saved me a lot of money. Doug actually got my wife's attorney to agree that her expectations were unreasonable. In the end, my ex was mad at her own attorney. I recomend Doug Pinkham to everyone.

Pinkham does extremely sloppy work. He billed me for another clients work, billed me for things that had nothing to do with my case and eventually when he was asked to correct his mistakes, he dismissed himself from the case. Basically he took my money and I have nothing to show for it. I went to another attorney and they completed the job for less money and a fraction of the time. Most importantly, he is a liar and lied about the work he performed. Pinkham is what gives the law profession such a horrible and distasteful reputation.

Doug stood up for me against my wife's very experienced and angry attorney. My wife's attorney constantly tried to hide information and documents. Doug was able to force them to give it all up without going to court. In the end, Doug got hold of all the information we needed. Doug seemed to keep the work to a minimum, saving me time and money, and he helped me to avoid an expensive trial trial. I would recommend Doug for anyone going through divorce. P.S., I kept the house, and she got NO spousal support.

I completely disagree with the other posts. I have had a very good experience with Mr. Pinkham. I had a very tough case with alot of time involved. Mr. Pinkham didnt charge me for 1/2 of it. He was helpful through the case as well as his staff. He fought for my family and we are very grateful.

The reviews are all correct. I wish I had known about this site before I chose Doug to represent me in my divorce. He pretends interested on initial consultation, however when he gets his retainer fee, he's an ass! God forbid you have any questions for him during the process. You'll sit on hold for 20 minutes before he picks up, and he'll charge you for every minute. When he does pick up he'll spend another 20 minutes arguing with you, until your forced to hang up to stop the clock. SAVE YOURSELVES!! This guy BLOWS.

Mr. Pinkham completely took advantage of me. Initially he was informative, then become very agressive and demeaning to me. He actually made the situation between my husband and I worse insulting him and cussing at him via email. He took my money up front, wasted my time (he has no receptionist and actually would answer the phone during my billed hours and had his computer tech fix his computer and put me in the other room for over 30 mins). I was so disappointed with his representation. He promised and never delivered. We have a simple case and after taking over 6,000 dollars it still is not done. He asked for more money. My husband and I agreed this was a scam. He is by far the WORST attorney. Please don't let yourself be taken advantage of. Mr Pinkham does not know mediation and he is just out for the money. Please do yourself a favor and use other representation. He will bait you in verbally and end up not doing what he says. Please don't be SCAMMED..I was.

Mr. Pinkham chargedmy mother almost 20k for a simple divorce case that he dragged for almost two years and still did not get her divorced. He had my mother sign paperwork she did not understand in _English when she only speaks Spanish. Mr Pinkham lied to my mother and had my mother sign a lien for $20k when she did not know what she was signing. We have reported him to the ca bar and he is being investigated by them.

My fiance went through Mr. Pinkahm for his child support case.My fiance needed his copies of his paperwork and Mr.Pinkham ignored his requests for year.He then comes to find out that though his case was closed,Mr. Pinkham was sitting on his ass for a year and never officially filed the court documents and even laughed about it.He did nothing for my fiance in court and out of court.All he is about is the money.After hounding him for a year w/no avail,my fiance finally received a copy of all his documents...only after I personally left Mr. Pinkham a message stating that we would be reporting him to the State Bar of California and the Better Business Bureau.DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!!!

He knows divorce law, and I was convinced of this at the first meeting, but once I paid him, he tended to speak through the receptionist. If nothing happens on a case, he still charges big bucks for letting it sit on the books. On the bills, this is called "calendering" a case. When I requested to take my case off the books, the messages either did not reach him, or he chose to ignore them, and he continued to calendar the case every month. After several more months, I spoke to his then partner, and finally the case was allowed to idle. I paid 5k for very little lawyering. I'm still angry. There must be a better way to choose a lawyer. The person whose recommendation I followed had had no trouble with him, but her case followed a straight path towards completion.
