I hired this lawyer on behalf of my child, who had been charged with a felony theft. I paid a huge amount of money, but the case proceeded as if we had no lawyer at all. He refused to pass on a specific request from me to the opposing lawyer. Huge expense, no result. Why didn't the lawyer just say there was no point in hiring him, because he could, or would, accomplish nothing on his client's behalf?
