Mr. MacLennan recently completed my 3-week trial. His mastery of cross-examination mattered the most. There were 2 parties and 2 law offices against me. My case was complex and voluminous and the onus was on me for all issues, including unequal division, unregistered family ventures, constructive trusts, multiple transfers... My ex is a very smart person, a member of MENSA, he created convincing theory of the case & was able to contrive an answer on the spot. Mr. MacLennan was brilliant in his cross-examination: sharp, focused and a fast thinker. I believe that was the first time for my ex that someone had outsmarted him. Mr. MacLennan skillfully confronted my ex in different ways until it became clear that my ex' story did not add up. After 5-day cross-examination , his lawyer approached us offering a settlement and I got what I did not expect I would get. I am confident to say that there are no many lawyers in the City who could achieve this outcome for me. Many thanks, Vesna

Thomas was on par on almost all recommendations and is tenacious when required. He is not the "Small talk" type however, when you have to pay for "small talk" that is not a bad trait in a lawyer. If you want a pit bull, hire Thomas.

Mr. MacLennan is an experienced, knowledgeable and extremely smart lawyer. I highly recommend him for complicated financial situations, especially matters that require mental gymnastics to find a legal ground for something to be done. He added a family member as a party to the proceedings and preserved family assets in family member’s possession; He managed to amend my original application although the case has already been close to a trial. My case was abandoned when I came to him, but Mr. MacLennan was able to quickly comprehend a very comprehensive finances. I also appreciate that he considered my drafts and financial searches, that way reducing costs and length of his preparation. Anyway, the motion itself was an expensive one, but I got majority of costs paid by another party. Many thanks! V.V.

I totally agree with all the positive comments made. I had 3 lawyers prior to Thomas Maclennan and let me tell you what a night and day difference, Thomas's knowledge and professionalism is like no other lawyer in his class. He is extremely through in his communications and his recommendations are always on the mark. Thomas and staff are the most genuine people you will hope to meet. He truly looks out for clients will being. I couldn't have found a better lawyer, my divorce case had been going on for over 10 years and with Thomas's help I was able to resolve it with more than favorable results. I couldn't have found a better lawyer, I would totally recommend him you will not be disappointed. Thanks Thomas for all your help you are amazing lawyer !! Hi I had Thomas as my lawyer for 9 months and he never fail to amaze me with his knowledge, Thomas is really good at what he does! and my ex accused me of a lot of false acquisitions and Thomas got them all dropped, I got the child custody that I wanted and I would use Thomas again in a heartbeat, he was worth every penny, he is not the cheapest lawyer out there but you get what you pay for and I am totally impressed thanks again Thomas , Bruce

I had to write this reveiw when I read the ealier ones posted. The earlier reviews failed to acknowledge the skills and quality of the work provided by Mr. MacLennan, and the grace under which he provided such service. Indeed the public should kbnow what a wonderful lawyer Thomas MacLennan is! he was great throughout my case and I will never be able to express how grateful I am that he represented me.

I was compelled to write this rating after having to seek a new lawyer to represent me in an ongoing family law matter. In the past, internet ratings of lawyers did not exist - and boy do I wish they did! The legal experience I was left with after having Mr. MacLennan represent me was shocking to say the least. I was TOTALLY misrepresented by this man. To this day I remain skeptical of the legal governing body that bestows upon its members such as Mr. MacLennan the privilege to practice law. Please make a better choice in counsel and avoid Mr. MacLennan. Maybe such honest ratings as this will weed-out such professionals and protect us the consumer with so much at stake!!! NB: I am a professional in another occupation so choose not to provide specifics for reason of an unwarranted backlash.

Mr. MacLennan breaks the trust between client and solicitor. He meets with opposing counsel without knowledge to his own client and then drops his client immediately. Is he being scared-off/cohersed/bought-off by opposing counsel? He was to appear in court at my pre-trial and completing a closed door meeting with opposing counsel exited and informed me that he could/would not represent me in court that day. He left me without representation to face the most acrimonious/liar/no integrity/ethics breaker you could never imagine!! If you want a solicitor to represent/defend you and NOT DESERT you, don't call this man!
