John is committed to working hard. He has a high level of integrity and morals. He is excellent in being time efficient and is very knowledgeable about family law. I was very pleased in the work he did towards my case and would recommend him to anyone.

He is my ex husband lawyer. He is very frustrating and full of trickery. He is famous for defending parents who don't want to pay support of expenses. He puts statements in the order that were never discussed in court at trying to get you to sign something that would be detrimental for you. He helped my ex hiding high value assets and showed up to court without documents prenteding ge didn't get them. He doesn't encourage his customers to work and become better parents. He excuses months in delaying responding by saying he had a long court case. His tactic is to create disagreement and lots of back and forth. He has No interest for the parts to come to an agreement. I feel sorry for my ex husband that has to pay his bills.

John took my case and explained the costs could go upwards of $30k on the very high end and as low as about $8k; and as you can guess the final bill came in way over $30K. He not only knew the other lawyer representing my ex but had previously gone to trial in another case against them. John's problem is quite evident as he takes on WAY TOO many cases at any one time and you will see that when you're in his office as he has piles and piles of case files. This made room for many errors throughout my disastrous 18 months of negotiating with the ex and her lawyer. It was painfully obvious after the first year that the two lawyers knew each other’s tactics well enough to be able to draw the case out as far as they possible could. An absolute disgrace that lawyers, FAMILY lawyers can get away with this type of practice against emotionally burnt out divorcees. I will be in debt for the next 10 years thanks to this lawyer

John Fairburn is exceptionally knowledgeable and capable. He does complex appeals cases in Contracts and family law (maybe other areas too). He certainly does return my calls and he calls me to check in and discuss procedure, correspondence, so we stay on track. John is always prepared well for Court + negotiations.

Mr. Fairburn never returned my calls. A month before mediation he decides he can no longer repersent, me but never even notifys me I hear from my other family members lawyers that he has decided to not represent me.

He was highly recommended. He said that I had to trust his judgement and that this is what I pay him for. He did nothing to defend my position in court although I had indicated what I expected the other side would be pushing for and how I wanted him to respond. He lost my case completely. If I could turn back time I would have never used him.
