Richard is a very knowledgeable lawyer he knows what he is doing. And is a stand up guy! I felt like he was in my corner and he certainly went to bat for me. I went through a couple of lawyers before I found Richard and I’m glad I did. He can be reached easily which is rare for a lawyer. If you need council Richard is your guy!

Richard offered me advice when I was about to go to trial without a lawyer. He was very understanding helpful and upfront. Gave me a lot of help and his demeanor was awesomme. It turned out I didn't need him but needless to say if I did he would be the man for the job.

Strongly recommend Richard. Counsel turned friend. Richard is straightforward and to the point, he might act harsh but he was caring and responsive. He is often reachable more importantly he’s experienced. I fell into soup accidentally; Richard really helped get me out clean. Now I have another chance at life.

I would absolutely recommend Richard to anyone in need of a solid defense lawyer. I was falsely accused of a serious crime and had an aggressive prosecutor on the case, but Richard was able to get the case dropped and kept me informed of everything happening at all times. His rates might seem high to some, but it is a fair price for having peace of mind and knowing he will do everything possible to defend you.

This was my first and only experience with the justice system. I was terrified. Richard helped put me at ease. Very personable yet professional. He showed me what my options were and helped choose reasonable ones. He is well connected and very experienced, including working as a prosecutor himself in the past. These things helped with the multiple changes in prosecutors and the challenging judge I had to face. He was able to negotiate a fair sentence. All this at a reasonable cost.

8 years ago Richard helped me out of an impossible situation where I was falsely arrested by a corrupt investigating officer twice and harassed for months in my home by the police. The same rookie officer (a.k.a. super trooper) beat up a young lady at a drinking driving counter attack and plead guilty to assault but was still allowed to be on active duty during his 9 months of probation. This constable appeared mentally unstable and the detachment stood behind him 100% - I was in fear for my own personal safety and a criminal record would kill my livelihood. Richard protected my safety during 18 months waiting for trail by communicating directly with the police and all charges were eventually dropped prior to trail. Richard's pricing was fair and he exceeded my expectations - If I went with a cheaper or less experienced lawyer on the web - I guarantee the outcome would've been much different in my case because the entire police detachment was against me. Thank you Richard!

I cannot give enough praise about Mr. Ballantyne. I'd give him 10 out of 5 stars if I could: he's professional, knows his legal craft, tries his best to represent you fairly, and tells it like it is.
As mentioned he's not cheap, but legal representation is not something you should cheap out on in today's deleterious and complicated court matters. BUT is priced fairly for the positive outcome we were expecting.
Would definitely use (and highly recommend) him forthwith for any legal matters!
