Took my money. Phone calls not returned. Waited so long that the court dismissed my divorce case and now I have to start all over.

Living out of state I hired Mr. Held and his staff to handle my divorce. I want to thank them for their quick service and helping me get this taken care of with costing me a fortune as I had already paid another attorney in the state I lived in. Thank you so much. I would use them again if the needed to.

Though I'm OK with the final results of using this lawyer,the firm failed me in several areas: 1)Case information provided to secretaries never reach Attorney Held. 2)Several requested phone calls and messages were never returned. 3)During an initial visit he was requested to obtain a document to support my case that only a lawyer could get. He decided not to because if it was damaging, the opposing attorney would obtain it. It turns out it was not obtained, that it supported my claims, and was unavailable to present to the judge at our preliminary hearing to shred me in a good light. Failure to obtain it delayed the process even further. 4)Divorce case took 2 yrs, 2 months to finalize. 5)There are no periodic calls to keep you up to date on what's happening. If you don't call, you're left in the dark. The firm is probably the cheapest in Sumter if money is an issue but as they say, you get what you pay for.

tooks money,did nothing for it,say it will be returned for weeks now,now its in the mail!
