Mr. Appel is one of the smartest lawyers i’ve ever met. He is cordial sincere and will work as hard as he possibly can to help your situation. In my instance he help me to continue to provide for my family when it was all said and done. I would recommend Mr. Appel to anyone that has a criminal matter. He will tell you up front whether he can help you or not and take money just for the sake of taking money. Extremely honest and honorable man.

Had traffic tickets in a local municipality. Attorney stated their will be no problems. A fine and no suspensions. I know the prosecutor and judge. Not only was I fined 1400.00 and a year suspension I had to negotiate a slap program instead of jail time. The worst representation I ever had.

We arrived at 9:00 am and sat for 2 hours 45 mins waiting on someone name Jose Leon to come and represent us. After sitting through close to 45 cases we were the last ones waiting and the Judge and bailiff starting asking us who we were waiting on as court was over and the prosecutor was on his way out. This guy finally arrives dressed like a delivery guy was here to speak on our behalf and I knew at that point we were in trouble. They ask him who he is there to represent and he calls out some ladies name from his prior case. He finally says the right name and walks in rushing trying to catch the prosecutor before he leaves. I could hear their conversation and Jose Leon was clearly unprepared to speak on our behalf. He didn't even know details about the case and had to pull up the information on his cell phone. For anyone who is considering them, do yourself a favor and go some place else. I would never recommend this attorney's office nor will I ever hire them in the future.

filed for expungement,eric told me it would be finish end of febuary the latest,its now september,he is very hard to get on the phone,no call backs at all,i paid him 1500 dollars the fee for expungement,said he was sending me a check fo reinbursment for my fingerprint never got that check,called today he get mad at me for asking about my case,and tell me he will have edward appell call me and hangs up on me,8 months holding my money and he cant tell me anything,this is the worst,never pay up front,they will forget you ever exited!!!!

Mr. Appel and Eric are quick to take the money to represent you... very quick call backs. After that, they do not return phone calls.... My traffic ticket has turned into a warrant for my arrest. I was given the run around when I confronted both Eric and Mr. Appel... when I called the court, the warrant is still active. Not sure what to do at this point, except hire a more reputable and honest attorney. Good luck if you decide to hire this attorney. Seems more like a scam artist than an attorney!!

I retained this attorney for traffic tickets for my son where an off duty officer assaulted my son....in the month and a half he never returned ourphone calls and I never met with him even though his so called law clerk "Eric" said we would. But they sure cashed my check... I didn't even know if he was gonna show up for court ....I called the day of with no return call again and he showed up an hour and half later , after we already settled things with the other party....Eric his so called "law clerk" charged me for a criminal case when I kept saying it was only traffic. Now he doesn't want to give me the difference back....he is a thief and still won't return my phone calls...how is this man still practicing law..its a disgrace. His law clerk told me he was getting tapes and discovery from the prosecutors office and none of that was even produced. Now it may be too late to get those items for my sons case when he sues...I don't recommend this attorney and if you retain him your a

Update to 02/18/15 review. Just want to note that Mr. Appel was in the process of changing offices and there was a lack of communication etc. He has since gotten in contact and is representing me and he is an excellent attorney and I trust him completely and I would highly recommend him.

I paid this person a $2,500.00 fee. For nothing ! Not only was he never in to take my calls, Pat his "assistant" could never produce any paper work on my case (there wasn't a case it turns out)The ADA dropped it (it was a ridiculous phone harassment charge brought on by my now ex-daughter-in-law) She constantly told me "it is a complicated case and "Bob"" was working on it. BOB, who the Hell is "Bob"? I have cancer and needed to stop playing phone tag with these people so that I could focus on getting as well as I could get. Called them and was told "Why did you wait so long?" I explained and was told more or less "sue us". Well that is what I am going to do. I don't feel so bad now that I see I wasn't a fool. This man is. And he has hurt so many. You know he has a beautiful pool and his kids get singing lessons and go on vacations that some of us only dream about on our money that he has in no way earned.

Retained mr Appel in march of 2013 to do an expungement for me. I explained to him i have stage 4 metastatic cancer and wanted a clean record before i die. He was very sympithetic and told me i would be his top priority. Well here it is November and still waiting. His assistant pat is very rude and it seems ed is never in to answer your questions. Unless you call to say you are a new client ed never answers the phone or returns calls. Well I called the office and told them if mr Appel didnt call me i would file fee and ethics complaints against him. Needless to say i paid $1200.00 for nothing and am handleing this myself. Do yourself a favor find someone else unless you want to give your money away.

I wish I would have found this site before paying over $1000 for an expungement. Ed talks a great game on the phone, but neither he nor his office assistant (Pat) back it up. Pat routinely gives excuses for delays, rarely follows through and usually provides inaccurate information (case status, court dates, etc). Whatever date she tells you something will be done, add a few months to it. We were initially told the expungement would be COMPLETED by July. It's now November and we're still waiting for the court hearing. Save yourself a significant amount of frustration by paying a little more for a professional lawyer.

I had a very old criminal matter that got lost in the system, and the court and prosecution were very unsympathetic. After watching Mr. Appel handle another case before the same court, I retained his services (for a VERY reasonable fee). At my next appearance, everything was handled to my satisfaction and the outcome was the best I could have hoped for. You always hope you never need the services of someone like Ed, but when you do its great to know there's such a skilled, competent attorney in your corner.

I used mr. Appels office for an expungement. It's been almost 8 months since I filed and still no results. I recvd a call in june from his secretary Pat and she told me my expungement was done and she would send out the paperwork to all agencies. I never heard from her again for about 2 wks and when I called and asked what was going on she stated they had received the wrong paperwork from the courts and was waiting on the right ones. It's now august and and still nothing. Called the office today and still no answers.pat i s on vacation and no one else in the office knows anything. This is just one of many issues with my expungement. First they filed petition in the wrong county, then an issue with an ticket, do not use this attorney for anything because they can't even handle an expungement that was supposed to take 6 months max. They never call you or give straight answers . Always the run around.

Ed had two major motor vehicle violations dropped completely fo me today that would have resulted in losing my liscense for 6 months if found guilty. If i ever need an attorney again for motor vehicle violations Ed is def the guy

My husband currently is facing serious charges and jail time. Edward has not only ignored my husbands calls but also the detectives who wanted to try to negotiate with him. It took them two weeks to even speak with his secretary Pat. In the meantime my husband was arrested with no representation from his lawyer after shelling out over $3000.00. Do not use this lawyer unless you are comfortable with giving someone money who will ignore you.

Mr. Appel's appeared in court on my behalf and never contacted me afterwards with the results. 36 days later after I made contact with his office I was told by his rude secretary "PAT" that I would receive something in the mail, of which I still have not. Whenever I've called and asked to speak with Mr. Appel, I have been denied. The secretary never has any answers. The customer service is less than marginal.

I was facing jail for a third offense. I not only didn't go to jail, I only lost my license for 90 days. Worth every penny.
