Pasulka is a liar and run completely unethical practice and will approach a case according to where he himself benefits the most and not the innocent children. Oh yes, he is the leader of his field (as he stated in his response to the ARDC report) thanks to those county judges who are his friends and promote and assign him for GAL. In my case Pasulka threat me with specific consequences and asked me to back-off when I called on him several times lying to court and on his GAL reports. He basically told me that I will be spending $$$'s if I come after him and judge will not take my argument into any considerations as this going to be his words against mine and he is well respected in court. He mentally tortured my children telling them that if they don't agree to what he tells them to do then their parents are going to spend lot more money fighting in court

David Pasulka is the worst thing that can happen to any honest, normal, carrying parent and his/her children. This guy lies & lies & lies. DP is corrupted and makes things up as he goes, and he has no shame in his dishonest acts. He disregards real, objective evidence, uses and abuses innocent, minor children by blatantly lying about what children supposedly told him. DP is destroying children and families, both emotionally and financially, while charging enormous fees for his charlatan work. DP is a criminal and it is an embarrassment for the court system and this country to allow him to be part of the legal system. On top of everything, DP is proved alcoholic, arrested for hit & run, and for DUI. Is that a person that anyone wants representing you & your children, and deciding about your children’s destiny? Authorities need to investigate DP, his criminal activities, his substance abuse, take his GAL and law licence away, and put him into jail. Please reveal DP’s horrific acts.

David was my children's appointed GAL. We got so lucky with that appointment, I could never ask for anyone better. I was and still am completely impressed with his ability to protect my children through a very lengthy and contentious divorce. He did not always side with me, he did not always side with my ex-husband. He did always look out for and protect my children from a system and process that is not good for them at all. I will forever be grateful for the work he did. I would recommend him for any kind of family law work because he has such an amazing and positive grasp of family. Years after my divorce he still reached out just "to check on my kids and how they were doing" since our family was going through another challenging situation years later. HIGHLY recommend.

David Pasulka’s guidance was invaluable in helping me navigate a very contentious divorce and I was impressed by the depth of his knowledge in family law. He consistently provided me with terrific advice and served as a source of reason and calm in various meetings/court appearances that involved my former spouse and his attorney. David’s vast experience is especially evident in the courtroom and he’s a terrific litigator. Overall, my experience with this firm was quite positive and I would highly recommend David Pasulka as a divorce attorney.

My divorce is over but it is tough to recommend these guys. Tremendous turnover at this firm led to four different lawyers handling my case and me be billed as each new one needed to "bring themselves up to speed." They were responsive but their antics left me feeling squeamish. As a part of "my vigorous representation" these guys would literally make things up in court to beat down the other side (particularly Pasulka, to a lesser extent Gordon). While at times it felt good seeing the other side get pounded, it made reaching agreements much more difficult and triggered responses that just ran up bills. Didn't really know if Pasulka & Co did what they did because they didn't know how else to respond or if it was a planned methodology to keep the fees coming in. As time has passed and I look at how much of my life's savings the lawyers took, I'm betting it was a planned methodology. If I had it to do over again, I'd find more ethical representation.

I hired Dave to handle my current divorce and in working with him for the past several months, I can't imagine having a better, more honest, ethical, kindhearted attorney. Divorce is awful and finding a divorce lawyer is worse--I expected a sleazy divorce lawyer who checks all of the cliche boxes. Dave spent time walking me through the process, supporting me while I sobbed in his office and threw myself a pity party, and has remained incredibly respectful of my wishes about what to do and when to do it. I am grateful to Dave and highly, highly recommend him and his colleague Molly. Re: billing as that seems to be commonly referenced in the other reviews: I have found their billing to be fair--what divorce lawyer is cheap?--and I have kept good notes to cross reference yet never had a single discrepancy.

David was our GAL. David's knowledge of the divorce process and Family Court in Cook County is extraordinary. I believe that he truly acted in the best interest of our children although my ex-wife would disagree strenuously. The truth the matter is I had a very complicated case that took years to resolve,and an extraordinarily obstinate ex-wife. When we began, he gave both my ex-wife and I some very good advice. He said "custody cases are not won, they are lost" I got the message, she did not. Cook County Family Court is one of the largest jurisdictions in the nation. A custody fight is painfully slow and brutally expensive. David is knowledgeable,& professional, As a GAL he is an objective observer who I believe truly operates in the best interest of his clients, your children.If he doesn't return your calls, it's because he knows you only want to argue. Yes, he is expensive, but divorce attorneys and brain surgeons are 2 things you shouldn't skimp on.

Very expensive but worth every penny. My personal expierence with David was very pleasant. He is a family man and he understands the emotions are high and the children come first. Although I am still not divorced the custody portion is over thanks to David.

This lawyer should be avoided completely. If you are assigned this GAL, immediately request a new one. If your attorney thinks this lawyer is a suitable GAL, then find another attorney. This guy doesn't realize the damage he does to families and especially the children he claims to care so much about. The only action you will get from him is at the end of an intentionally drawn out process when he petitions for fees. Also, I really think attorneys should go through security like all the rest of us at the Daley Center. I just don't know why he rushes into the bathroom after his court appearances. For the sake of your children , don't walk, RUN away from this guy.

I find David Pasulka to be extremely skilled, communicative and responsive to his clients and the opposing attorney. I think he's been practicing for about 28 years or so and he's the best I've seen in court. He's tenacious and knows the law. I think that sometimes, especially in divorce cases, people expect more from their attorney than an attorney can reasonably (and honorably) deliver. Then they are disappointed when his/her spouse is not thrown out of the house and into prison. He or she wonders why his/her spouse has not lost all custody and visitation rights. Their expectations are unrealistic.

Dave is one of the best family law attorneys in Chicago. He's knowledgable, tenacious and cares about the outcome of the case. I had a great experience working with him and his staff.

Never ever returns phone calls. I have contacted David a dozen times and so has my child. He is my childs GAL and never every returned one of his phone calls. He even gave my child his cell phone. The unfortunate thing is that they will get paid and take your money any which way they can.

David Pasulka doesn't has an easy job dealing with high stressed clients. However, I expect honesty and decency. I received neither of these from this law firm. I would not recommend him.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS LAWYER! HE WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY WITHOUT EVEN PUTTING UP A FIGHT FOR YOUR CASE. YOU NEVER DEAL WITH DAVID PASULKA HIMSELF. HE USES HIS PARALEGAL FOR EVERYTHING.HE WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND WITHDRAW YOUR CASE WHEN YU START ASKING QUESTIONS. ALL THEY WANT IS TO MAKE EASY MONEY AND WHEN YOU START QUESTIONING THEM THEY WILL BACKDOWN AND DROP YOU IN A HEARTBEAT. THEY DO NOT EVEN HAVE THE DECENCY TO TELL YOU OVER THE PHONE THEY WILL JUST EMAIL YOU AND NEVER CALL YOU BACK. I HAVE A FINAL BILL FROM THEM THAT DOES NOT EXCEED THE RETAINER FEE THAT I AM SUPPOSED TO BE REFUNDED PER THE WRITTEN AGREEMENT. I HAVE TRIED CONTACTING THEM BUT THEY NEVER RETURN MY CALLS OR EMAILS NOT SURPRISING AT ALL. The Pasulka law firm may have a high turn over of attorneys and also changes the name of the firm occasionally. Two things worth noting. The main objective of the firm appears to be in not revealing to the client how the divorce process works. If you have that feeling, you're not the first. If your sense is that you should fire them, go with it. It doesn't get any better. Your bank account sure will thank you later.
