John is such an amazing lawyer, I needed a lawyer in Monmouth county to handle my divorce and he did everything in his power to make me feel like I was his only client. He kept me updated and when it came to representing me in court as my divorce attorney I could not be more happy with the results. He got me an uncontested divorce in New Jersey, which is unheard of! I'm so glad I chose John as my family law lawyer!!! Now I can put the divorce behind me, but he is still helping me with my child support stuff right now and is still doing great.

He did not follow thru with the other Attorney in his practice who handled the case. I did not get the best settlement. I was disappointed with Mr. Patti.

Mr. Patti and his staff are amazing. My husband and I were about to give up, until we got a call from his office wanting to discuss our situation more. Living in CA, and pursuing custody of a minor in NJ is not something easy to do. We had been turned away several times, but Mr. Patti was confident that with our dedication to getting custody and the substance abuse taking place in NJ, that we could prevail. And 9 months after talking with John, that's what we did. It's very scary pursuing custody... but John and his team were with us the whole way. We never felt like a bother, discouraged, or most importantly, alone. We knew the whole team was behind us and willing to do what it took. We feel eternally grateful for Mr. Patti and his whole staff. We highly recommend him... and know that Mr. Patti is someone we will always call a friend.

John is well known and respected by colleagues at the Monmouth Co. courthouse. He was able to control the timeline for the divorce proceeding so that it came out exactly the way I wanted it to. He is fair and honest. His support staff, especially Caitlin, Terri & Maureen, is knowledgeable and professional. I was able to reach John when I needed him and he responded to phone calls & emails promptly. He calmed me down & reassured me when I was scared, unsure, & intimidated by the legal documents & processes. He is a gentleman. Many attorneys are insulting & offensive towards the adversary. Such behaviors only serve to antagonize the other party, discourage cooperation, and delay a final agreement. John does not do this. He advised me to get a counselor when I was anxious and stressed. Then he advised me to get a financial advisor and be prepared to pay extra taxes because of receiving alimony. I always followed his advise.

I was married for 33 yrs. After interviewing 4 others, I decided that John was the best choice. I do not regret my decision. John allowed me to choose my course of action. He didn't try to push me to settle. Initially, I was unnerved by his letting me lead the proceedings. I realized by the end, he allowed me to craft my divorce so that I would be happy with the outcome. One of his shining moments came when we were at court for the final decree. While we were in front of the judge, his lawyer got to the part where my X is allowed to have alimony reviewed at age 66. John turned to them and said "you do realize that it is only a review and not an automatic modification?" My X said yes. John turned to me and said, "we're going to get a transcript. He is going to take this back to court and you need to have this attached to the decree so he can't say that it was an automatic modification." He had the foresight to protect my future. He was awesome.

I was more than happy when John Patti took my divorce that appeared to be heading to trial with an end nowhere in sight into a settlement much sooner than I expected. He was able to produced excellent results for my family, while being empathetic and caring. His staff remained patient and thoughtful through it all and always got back to me in a timely manner. He is extremely knowledgeable in his field and this put me at ease through out the entire process, which was I needed during this difficult time. My goal was to always have my children's needs front and center and both John and his staff were able to accomplish this.

Mr Patti is an excellent attorney. He is an an effective communicator and a legal expert in the law. He quickly responds to any issues that arise and handles my case like it's his only one. I retained Mr. Patti to handle my divorce in 2005. I was married for fifteen years, owned a home and had two daughters. He made me feel comfortable right from my first consultation up until the day we were in court together and I was divorced. Mr Patti explained the process to me, answered all my questions, handled my case with courtesy and returned my calls promptly. The retainer was reasonable and the subsequent billing for his time was not only acceptable but very much appreciated. When I first meet John for my consultation, he was very knowlegeable and caring. He did not rush and explained to me the process I would be going through. He told me that he and his staff would be there to help me throught this and they were 100%. They were quick to respond to my requests, emails and calls. Mr. Patti was aware that I have bi-polar disorder,yet he did not go over my Civil Action with me. When I unknowingly went to apply for SS retirement benefits at age 62, my x husband brought it to my attention that the benefit money should have been deduced from my monthly alimony check. Needless to say,had I known that I would have waited until 66 or 70 to put in for retirement benefits. When Mr. Patti and I went of the Consent Order we found several mistakes on his part, such as Mr. Patti calling me the Defendant instead of the Plaintiff and vice versa. My husband stopped paying me alimony altogether and my attorney, who had collected $44,000 for these papers was not at all concerned even though it was his error that caused this horrendous mess. He refused to initiate a motion to get my x into court and as a consequence, I have not been able to pay my bills since September 2009!
