Avoid this lawyer. Seek an out of town lawyer. It's an old boy's club here, I experienced it. There isn't a low enough score in my opinion. He has a sales pitch that he didn't back up. Thinks highly of himself. Do yourself a favor and stay away from him.

My settlement happened a couple of years back. George does not waste time. My ex was served and 10 months later was settled through mediation. George is honest, thorough and to the point. If you have an ex that has lied, cheated and stole from you and your children, George is your lawyer. If you are in this situation and under intimidation by your ex, who spoons feeds you checks with his ‘rules’ attached, George is your guy. He will protect you as well throughout the process. His staff are amazing, reassuring, educated and comforting. He took a threatening, intimidating, financially unstable situation and made things much more stable for myself and especially for my children. For that, I am truly grateful to George and his wonderful staff.

George will be direct with you and level with you about the likelihood of you getting your desired outcome. He is tenacious. He runs a tight ship - his assistants are very well informed and professional. He dots all his i's and crosses all his t's. Very timely and available. Handles a large number of clients with ease. Brings calmness and clarity to emotionally charged situations to help you make the most rational decision. I greatly appreciate this man.

There isn't a low enough score... Save your money and get someone who has no ties to the old boys club. This man cost me 25 grand legal fees for nothing... After 30 years marriage... and a financial loss in a divorce case of 150 grand, debts not paid to me 30 grand ...my childs education almost 20 grand... the list goes on. A very incompetent lawyer in some parts of family law and divorce settlement..However gives a Great Sales Pitch... The Law Society is part of the "Club" that Sarnia Lawyers are known for...and the Judges...Think carefully and check them out and who they are tied to or previous partners or articled with....I hired a Windsor lawyer... Who has a Sarnia practice and shocked at the botched up mess this man made of my life...If you need a lawyer in Sarnia ... Be careful, watch your money...Protect your life, your children and your future...but not with this man...who drained me financially...let me go broke and in a mess.Until I hired someone with no ties in Sarnia.??

I've been to see him twice, explained the situation, and was told twice exactly what he felt I should do, including that I did NOT need his services. Both times I had no trouble getting in to see him, at a time that was convenient for me, within a week of calling. He was on schedule both times. When talking to him, he explained everything in very a clear, concise manner, no fifteen letter words only a lawyer understands. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM TO OTHERS!!!!

Told him I needed to settle, I had no more money to fight. He told me not to worry about it. I told him I needed to quite and cut my losses..he said "Tough!" Long story short, George has a lien on my home. He took me to court for a bill I cannot pay My divorce has cost me 25 thousand dollars. Plus the retainer, plus the interest, plus the lien…I was vulnerable and he took advantage of me. I tried to fight it, but he is way too mighty and better at law than I am. I got screwed. THe support he fought for, I now owe back because my ex didn't make the money he was supposed to be making. I now owe everyone plus revenue Canada. It is a total mess. I am just waiting for him to take my home. He's' taken everything else including my faith in the legal system. VERY VERY sad. I was over charged for court visits where he charged three or four of us for all day court fees. That is ridiculous. and its ongoing. Be careful everyone.

I went to mediation in London with this lawyer. My whole case was settled at that time, and that included alimony and child support as well as the house, our pensions and our debts. I had heard horror stories of cases dragging on for years and people having to pay legal fees until they were broke. That did not happen with me. We were all done in about 8 months and I paid probably a third of the legal fees that my ex paid to a London lawyer. George McFadyen has been doing family law for a long time. He told me going in what I could reasonably expect and we discussed all of my options. I was satisfied with the work he did for me and would recommend him

I agree with all the negative comments on this guy. I feel bad for the people who have retained him and lost due to his negligence. AVOID HIM AT ALL COSTS. He needs to be investigated by the Law Society of Upper Canada for some of his deceiptful actions.

Bad, that is all I can say! He is what they say in it for the money. I also have noticed that these lawyers are prety friendly with eachother. I would say never go to court, grade 2's could do a better job.. George got me for 15,000 and never even made it to trial yet. That would be another 20,000.

Only rated a 5 for knowledge b/c he knows how to manipulate the system. I used to have this "man" as a lawyer and caught him lying to me several times. He is arrogant, will expect you to lie, and he will NOT HESITATE to sell you out to the opposing counsel. You may be tempted to retain him b/c he has a "can't lose" reputation, but he will destroy you financially. I read these reviews and secured his services despite what I read - perhaps the biggest mistake of my life. Suggestion: Take him right out of the equation. Meet with him FIRST for a free consultation so that your spouse cannot retain him due to conflict of interest, and then move on to someone more ethical. It is in the best interests of everyone, especially you and your children.

George will tell you what you want to hear to get you to retain him. Afterward, he'll drag out your case until you are out of money then advise you to settle. THE most expensive in town and no value for your dollar. There's a good reason why he drives a mercedes and you don't! Pass him by and shop around.
