Very bad person! She is actively being sued in NY for swindling money from people. I worked with her and I lost over $15,000 as a result. She has a bad attitude, she is not knowledgeable in her field at all- that's why she has the attitude, and she will manipulate you into paying for her lucrative lifestyle that she brags about. Please be weary when working with her. She shows behaviors very consistent to narcissisism. Even if she sounds legit, please be weary. Every business she touched has failed- check the public records. This woman is NOT who she says she is.

We could definitely use better women judges in family court than what we have. She is not very sensitive. Find lawyers who get along with the judges

I agree with the last comment to stay away from Ms. Deveney. She is the most unprofessional individual, which I have sadly dealt with. She only cares about putting the dollars in her pocket by deceiving others. Also agree that she appears to be mentally unstable with her erratic & arrogant behavior. She is most difficult to communicate with unless you agree with her. Very hard to contact when needed. Do not be duped by her as I was.

I would recommend not even to consider using Susan Deveney. She made my situation worse between my wife and I. She is deffinatly bipolar, and its all about the $$$BEN FRANKLINS$$$ and will suck you dry with no resolution just and empty bank account. PLEASE TAKE MY ADVICE.

She withdrew from my case in the discovery stage because I did not have another $6,900 to give her after I gave her well over $10,000. I would not recommend her to any one. Very poor.

I have used this lawyer for mediation with my ex-wife and for litigation against a company that owed my business a lot of money for several years. In my experience with Susan Deveney, she was strong and tenacious when necessary, but mhighly skilled in negotiation when necessary as well. I never had the feeling that she was trying to pad her bill, like manyu other lawyers do - just making a real effort to do the best possible job she could for both me and my ex-wife in our divorce mediation and for me and my business in my court case. I have recommedmded Susan Deveney to others for divorce mediation and for business matters and will continue to do so. It's not easy to find a lawyer you can trust! You can trust Susan Deveney.

I have used this lawyer for personal and business cases for more than eight years. She is always professional prepared and carefull about creating work just to increase her fees. that was a problem i had incountered with lawyers i used before her. susan deveney is a tallented mediator and attorney that i have recomended to others who also became repeat clients of her office.

This lawyer was very ineffective in gaining a smooth resolution,in fact,purposely created animosity with other lawyer and client to impede progress and increase her own hours and fees.Bullied client,sometimes even yelling at on phone and put-downs,and did not let client and other side come to agreement early.Encouraged client to lie and be devious,creating more animosity and worsening family situation.Made client go so far into debt with fees that could no longer pay and had to settle for much less less percent just to stop the hemmorraghing lawyer fees.Did not even research or write up settlement,client did all research and wrote settlement proposal.Other lawyer even did some research she was responsible for,just to finalize case.Repeatedly asked for more documents,which went unused,and more useless but expensive phone and office time.Did not even attend court sessions,sent unprepared assistant,which resulted in court dates being repeatedly resecheduled,resulting in more fees.
