Joy should retire, she quotes one cost, then does. not do what you are asking for, then charges you double of her quote. She charges you, when she is confused or forgets what was discussed. Once a great lawyer, now just a money grabber. Very disappointed and broke because of her aging, failing thought process.

For the past 29 years(yes I counted). Joy has helped me with my divorce and separation agreement, a will and many real estates transactions. She was knowledgeable, friendly and gave prompt service. I felt she truly cared about doing good work and helping me through difficult times. She gave me very good legal advice. And unlike some places, her office is very relaxed and comfortable. I easily recommend both Joy and her staff to the extra mile for you.

I recently hired Joy Dukeshire to assist me in what was looking to be a cumbersome divorce with my husband of thirteen years; also involving three children. Initially I chose her office because it was nearby and convenient for me to get to as I worked in the area. Throughout the process the staff was knowledgeable and able to answer the multitude of questions I had regarding initiating the divorce on my end and what was involved in the process. The course eventually went to court and I feel she did a good job advocating for me and I am happy with the result. Thanks again!

I went through a 2.5 years separation/divorce process with Joy. Worst years of my life. Eventually I felt that she was working for my ex. She is only interested in the hours billed and doesn't really care of the outcome and how it would effect me for the rest of my life. I lost my home, all savings, all RRSP's and was left with a higher than normal support payment to my ex. I had to eventually go down to a few bags of clothes and was homeless for almost 2 years. I am able to rent a place now but I still do not have any saving/retirement/down payment for a home, etc. I agreed to the settlement to end my lawyer fees to prevent myself from committing suicide. If I met her again I would have a FU message for her.

My fiancee just completed a painful 2 and a half year long divorce. Joy was his lawyer. I don't know that I can a single good thing about her. Her communication was poor, she rarely intitiated follow up with the opposing lawyer unless pushed by us, she would sometimes take two weeks to respond to an email, we went through MULTIPLE unnecessary revisions of the separation agreement due to errors on her part, and I don't feel she advocated for my fiancee very well. He is paying an outstandingly high spousal amount which she concurred was 'fair'. Three separate times we were close to finalizing the agreement when Joy would remember something "we missed" - or she forgot to tell us. We ended up filing for a rush divorce judgement to get it done with. Would stay away. Paid thousands of dollars for terrible legal support. If you want an expeditious and fair/equal divorce, do not come here.

I have gone through and I still am going through a very rough divorce. Joy is very knowledgeable. She has been very helpful. Unfortunately due to high cost of my husband's disclosure postponements I have had to stop all work as I cannot afford costs associated. I am an emotional.person who has been hurt very badly by ex-husband. Due to sending numerous emails and trying to constantly keep Joy updated my bill just got too high. I fully believe she would have done her best for me had I had the money to continue. Unfortunately I am tapped out. Thank you Joy for all your hard work.

Joy is a very nice and very knowledgeable lawyer. Joy is very approachable and she listens to you, she doesn't insist her idea to you and she explains things that are jargon to so many people. Also, don't hesitate to ask her qustion/s. Her price as well is so reasonable compare to other lawyers (very expensive) that my husband and I dealt with. I already started spreading her name to all my family & friends, if they need a Will done and Joy's other expertise. Thank you Joy for making us very comfortable when we did our Will, Personal Directives and Power of Attorney. Her legal assistant Kaela is very nice as well!

I hired Joy to do a Will, Estate, Enduring Power of Attorney, as well as for Notary services throughout the years. She effectively communicated what all of these documents were and their importance to us and how they will protect our family in the case of tragedy. An excellent, knowledgeable woman in the fields of law in which she practices in.

Visited Joy to notarize a form. She was very unfriendly, and somewhat rude about a mistake I'd made on part of the form. I do not recommend Dukeshire for notary services.

Joy has been extremely slow to process my divorce and has not been working for my best intrest but instead to raise her bill and drag out my divorce. She hasn't been explaining the multiple settlement offer she has drawn up, and when I request a change to be made she doesn't do it and takes months to change one sentence. I do not recommend Joy Dukeshire law to anyone.

I have utilized her professional services on at least three separate occasions and every time I was impressed with the professionalism and advice of Joy and speed of service by teh other staff members in her office. Her professional fees appeared to be very reasonable . When I wanted a prenuptual agreement for a possible engagement Joy showed her concern for me and advised exactly what was wrong with my own feelings.
