I was arrested during a protest and was charged with multiple felonies for assaulting public safety officials and a couple misdemeanors as well. This was a really unfortunate time & Dorie was able to get me a diversion deal. I did not spend any more time in jail & after a couple years, this will be gone completely. I trust her.

Dorie took on my case after I had been falsely accused of battery by my ex/mother of my children. She was there every step of the way and backed me 150% after I refused to accept a plea for something I did not do. She was extremely attentive, supportive and AMAZING during trial. With her help, it only took the jury 20 minutes to determine that I was not guilty of any charges. After hearing her opening/closing statements and cross examinations, I would never want to be on the opposite side of her in court. Not only would I recommend her to anyone looking for an attorney, but I would absolutely use her again in the future. Thank you Dorie!!

I needed Dorie Maryan (Hertzel) to do a good job for me, many months later I find out that she did not even finish the case after the court granted a decision in my favor. Now here I sit in a terrible situation, very embarrassed and hiring a new firm to help me accomplish what she was supposed to do. I would never look for this attorney to help you, she is also very unfriendly and blames everything on everyone else.I am in a devastating situation and she could care less. I could write a book....

I hired Dorie on a case that I thought there was no light but in the end Dorie showed me the light. She got my case dismissed and had me removed from the sex offender registry. I'm in debt to Dorie for giving me my life back. She's professional, compassionate, and a darn great attorney. I highly recommend Dorie; she will take care of you.

My juvenile son was charged with a Class B and Class C Felony. I contacted Mrs. Maryan and had at least one thousand questions for her. She was very patient with me and my son from start to finish. She explained the process in terms that he and I could understand. She kept in constant contact throughout the entire process. I knew all along that I had made the right decision but it was confirmed for me when the police detective from the State of Indiana's side (after being destroyed on the witness stand by Mrs. Maryan) leaned over to the Prosecuting Attorney and said "She's Good!" I whole heartedly agree! The judge did as well because my son was found not guilty on both felonies thanks to Mrs. Maryan! Our family owes Mrs. Maryan a debt of gratitude that we cannot possibly repay in 100 lifetimes!

WOW! How do you describe “Perfect”? When our son first got the news that he was under investigation for 2 counts of rape, our first Attorney told us to comply with the investigators demands and prepare for trail, we immediately “ FIRED” him at 4:45 pm and start looking for someone else. At 5:00 pm we placed “Distress” calls to seven or eight different attorneys, at 9:30pm Dorie Maryan returned our call and (MOST IMPORANTLY) gave us the “Facts” good and bad about the consequences surrounding the alleged allegations and then she began to do something no other Attorney did, she began to give counseling to our family, to calm our nerves and assure us, she was going to do “Everything” within her legal powers to make sure our son will never see the inside of a jail. Her “Hard Work “paid off, our son was “NEVER” arrested or charged for the alleged allegations of Rape. Dorie, the price we paid you was “NOT” commensurate to the gift of freedom you gave our family. Thank You!!

I have used Ms. Hertzel twice in the past 4 years. I love this woman. She has kept 2 major felonies off my son's record. Her knowledge of the law is excellent. She has a respected reputation within our judicial system. During both situations with my son, she made herself available at all hours and kept me from many sleepless nights. I hired Dorie to represent me in a bogus Protective Order case and property retrieval. I think she had no interest in my case yet she took it. She never contacted the Prosecutor like she promised she would. After I lost the Protective Order case, I at least expected her to follow thru with property retrieval. Of course it never happened. I was not impressed with her knowledge. I would not hire Dorie again or recommend her again.
