If I could give her a ZERO I would. SAVE your children & yourselves by staying as far as possible from this lawyer. She gaslights victims of domestic violence, she takes whatever little money they have left, she will blame you & make mistakes that will cost you any possibility of a fair trial. Then when she completely messes up your file she will demand more money & threaten to dump you right before trial. She is NOT at all a defender or children or women’s rights like she pretends to be. She is NOT at all a defender of abuse victims. SHE will also end up abusing you by taking advantage of you. She is vile, mean disrespectful & will mess up your file beyond repair a this will end up costing you your children who will be awarded to your abuser - who she is really supporting & not you. Stay away & if you are already her client get up & run away as fast as you can

Two-faced - Please don’t be fooled by her so called advocacy for victims of domestic violence and abuse. Once she reels you in, she will gaslight you and blame you. Not at all who you see in the media and who she pretends to be. Stay as far away as you possibly can

Completely unprofessional and useless. No action, no advocacy. For months and months and months. She doesn't answer emails or phone calls. No support, no advice, nothing.

Valerie Assouline was professional, credible, empathetic and generous with her time and advice. I also liked the full disclosure of the cost of services on her website which she respected even though we exceeded the allotted time.I was very satisfied with my overall experience and would recommend her to a friend.

J ai eu recours aux services de Me Assouline dans mon dossier de divorce . Je la recommande fortement. Me Assouline travaille avec passion et c est claire qu elle se soucie pour ses clients et pour leur meilleur intérêt. J ai deux jeunes enfants et la garde de mes enfants était aussi en question. Grâce aux bond conseils de Me Assouline nous avons reussis a trouver un terrain d entente qui convienne a tous . Vraiment la meilleur avocate en ville !!

J AI CONSULTÉ MAITRE ASSOULINE POUR UN DIVORCE AVEC GARDE D ENFANTS. J AVAIS UN AUTRE AVOCAT AVANT ET LE DOSSIER N AVANCAIT PAS. UNE FOIS QUE MAITRE ASSOULINE A PRIS EN CHARGE LE DOSSIER, LE DOSSIER S EST RÉGLÉ RAPIDEMENT ET A MOINDRE COUTS.VRAIMENT JE RECOMMANDE CETTE AVOCATE SANS HESITATION! Me Assouline took my file and then for 2 months she was too busy with her own life to do anything. When I finally informed her that I had decided to transfer my file to somebody else as she did not have time to take care of it, she proposed that I deal with one of her collegue and then she charged me more than $400 for a "reference". This has hurt me very badly in a moment that was already so difficult. I do not recommend this lawyer.
