Robert Kitay was a nightmare for an attorney. He failed to communicate with me for so long that I had to threaten him in order to find out what was happening with my case. He filed for continuance after continuance and made excuses to me that were not reasonable or true. The continuances were because he didn't spend time developing my case. He expected ME to do the footwork. When Mr. Kitay took a dislike to me and sneered at me while I was at his office, I knew it was time to move on. He farmed my casework out to other attorneys and then when court time came he didn't know what was up so continued it. He told me he "doesn't do collections" so would be farming that out too and I would have to pay his 40% plus whatever the collections attorney percentage was which meant I would be left with 20% of whatever the recovery on my case was. RIPOFF!!

This so-called lawyer only takes your money,he does not fight for you...he does nothing but makes promises, but he never delivers! His staff is so incompetent, they never can give you an answer about anything. The idea of having a lawyer is to take the stress off you and put your trust in someone who can fight for you. This guy's a bum, he just wants to collect money for doing nothing, he prey's on peoples' misfortunes.

I hired Robert Kitay to represent me in a difficult family law case. I can, without hesitation, that my life would be completely different had I failed to do this. I was accused, falsely, of domestic violence and the court granted temporary orders that included removal of my parenting time. Robert was able to litigate the case such that I ended up with full custody and the mom of the kids was ordered to have supervised visitation and undergo extensive counseling.
Robert was professional at all times, knew the law, and a very effective advocate. His staff was responsive to my inquiries. The charges for his services were very reasonable, and I know this because previously I had retained two other family law attorneys who charged me a lot more and gave me a lot less.
Should I need his services again in the future, which is certain, I will not hesitate to employ him and his office.

We hired Mr. Kitay to handle a very difficult family law matter. He worked very hard for us and was able to accomplish a lot. In fact, he was able to get primary custody of the children switched from the other parent to us. He was very professional at all times, as his staff. He billed us appropriately for the work he performed, which included him and his staff responding to emails and phone calls.
We don't know what the prior posting persons problem is, but it is clear he expects Mr. Kitay and his staff to work without having to pay for services. Do not trust the posting of someone who expects this. Ther are probably a deadbeat who does not pay his or her bills, expects work for free, and is never satisfied regardless of the effort put forth on his behalf.

Very unattentive to clients needs. Does not seem to know family law very well. Many of my questions werent answered; the only questions that were answered timely were questions regarding my bill and payments...their offices charges you to write an email to them and they charge you if they respond as well. Their staff are unprofessional and dress like they are in high school.
