This office is a scam and pays to get their bad reviews removed!
BEWARE!!! Take a look at the messages.
I hired John Cannon to represent me in 2020, it took him 5 months to even file! The man would not even return calls or emails. This office scammed me out of $4,400 for crappy service.
Never was I represented in my case.
The ONLY time I got a follow up message was on Yelp and I messaged with my information and number to resolve it, but never a call!
If your going to put your name plate on a door WILLIAM EDGAR, you should back it up ethically and honestly.

a court date that I was told was off calendar at 275.00 an hour. They never attempted to work anything out, just never responded. didn't hear from them until I posted a bad review..and then got the reply on yelp that they would not address those unrealistic expectations. Since I only talked to and met mr edgar for 10minutes on the initial meeting, I would say my review is directed towards his staff and firm.
as to your response, which I find un true, what attempts were made to work things out, I never received a phone call or email. no contact..

To begin, I was a client of Jeremy Roark since 2015. When we first met, I had an approximate custodial timeshare of 10% along with trying to prevent my daughter's mother from relocating to New Jersey. When I secured small victories along the way (i.e. a significant increase in the timeshare), it was because I followed Jeremy's sound advice. He consistently made himself available to answer my questions and address my concerns. Also, the entire team at H. William Edgar, at some point, lent their help with my case. Also, when it came to billing the clerks and billing department made it easy to understand the cost and charge of everything. In addition to this, if I had a question regarding a charge the office would respond back to me in a timely manner. I was never overcharged or had any unnecessary services billed to me, and I enjoyed same day payment processing. I hope you entrust your faily as I did to the best team of lawyers and clerks in Riverside County.

I came to Bill Edgar wanting 2 things, a schedule change for more time with my 2 boys and a judgement enforced to receive money from my 2009 divorce.
The consultation was free and the intake was easy and seamless. Bill's employees were immediately working on my case and keeping me updated through the whole process. His staff was always availible to answer any questions I had.
Now that there are no more court dates needed, I must say that I got what I came to Bill for. I now have an equal holiday schedule and every other weekend with overnights with my 2 sons and my divorce judgement enforced.
If you want a law firm to get you what you are seeking, then Bill Edgar's firm is the one you will want to go with.

I am very pleased and fortunate that I found the Law Offices of H. William Edgar. Hiring their services was the best decision. Mr Edgar and his staff provided excellent service during my divorce. What started out as simple, quickly turned into a case that involved a restraining order and move-away. Mr. Edgar and Mr Roark, always kept me informed and updated on my case. They guided me through the process, answering my many questions in a timely manner no matter what time of day I had them. What I appreciated most was that they did not promise I would win my case, but did everything they could to make that happen, which it did. Mr. Edgar's team were always prepared for court dates, had a professional demeanor at all times, and were well respected by the court. Sitting in a court room with the possibility of testifying is scary. Having the right team to present your case is necessary. My advice is to avoid divorce if at all possible, but if your needing an experienced and competent lawyer, than I would highly recommend Mr Edgar and his staff.

My husband and I hired Law Office of H. William Edgar to represent us in a “Move Away” request to the Hemet, California Family Court in summer of 2015 focused on our 12 year old son. His staff is of the utmost professionalism paying special accolades to his paralegal Amy. At no time did we ever feel as though we were just another client, they went above and beyond to ensure we were always treated as important and a priority. Prior to our day in court, we flew into California and met with Mr. Edgar to go over the court proceedings and his plan for court. Mr. Edgar inspired pure confidence and never once showed us any doubt of his commitment and professionalism to our case.

I Hired Mr Edgar to help me with custody and a move away order for my Daughter.
The moment I met Mr Edgar I had a weight lifted off me, Just talking to him I knew he was truly going to do all he could to help me. He was Human and not like a lot of Attorneys who see Dollar signs instead of a person in real need of help.
Mr Edgar was Honest and Blunt with me, He told me the way it was going to go and told me right away that a move away order was almost never granted, Well I will say that this was not the case for me with Mr Edgar As my Attorney, I was Granted the move away order and was able to move 2200 miles away with my daughter......... I know for a fact that if i had not hired Mr Edgar that i would have never been granted the move away order. I Thank God every day for pointing me in the direction of Mr Edgar.

Mr. Edgar is knowledgeable on family law. I like that I have easy access to him as needed. Unfortunately my case has been pending longer than I'd like however, this has not been through any fault of Mr. Edgar, rather it is due to the stalling tactics from the opposition. Lauren Patterson has been a great. She has represented me in the best possible way. I am currently going through an ugly divorce and custody battle with my newborn. Compassion and attorney are words that aren't often used in the same sentence, but I can here. Bill represented me in a no-nonsense, professional, and effective manner. I had never been to family court, but Bill took the fear out of it for me with his representation. Divorce proceedings are complicated; when custody is placed into the equation it becomes exponentially so. Bill worked to settle things outside of court whenever he could, even arranging for 4-Way meetings. The office staff is courteous, competent, and supportive. In court Bill is intense and never misses a beat. There were several occasions wherein the court was not supportive and would dismiss my concerns, but Bill did not allow this. Bill has worked with me through difficult times financially and stuck by me; he’s an honest and diligent attorney. I think what resonates most with me is that Bill cared about me as a father; he wanted to be sure I retained my rights as a father in a very hostile situation! Thanks Bill!

I came to this law office at the start of a very hostile divorce. Since the start, Mr. Edgar and Mrs. Cohen-Patterson have been very attentive to my needs. They have answered all of my questions thoroughly and promptly. The entire office team has also been very responsive and at no times do I feel like I am bothering anyone.
I've been put into a very strong position on my case due to the advanced thinking and strategy put in place. I would of easily lost a good chunk of time with my child had it not been for Bill & Lauren. They have both been fantastic in holding the other side accountable, which has taken a huge stress off my shoulders.
Divorce is an awful process, but my legal team has taken the edge off of the process. That and the fact they speak to me in english and as people is very reassuring.

This was a very difficult time for me and my children but Mr. Edgar and his staff were thoughtful and considerate during this sensitive time in my life. I initially retained another local attorney which used half of my retainer doing essentially nothing. My ex husband had a local respected attorney which initially intimidated me but Mr. Edgar's office was always one step ahead.On our court day I was very pleasantly surprised to recognize that Mr. Edgar had a great reputation with the court and especially with the judge which made me feel very reassured. Advertises himself to be a competent divorce lawyer but when billing has depleted resources, the competency goes away. He has no interest in finishing a case if it requires effort on his part. Communication with client as to proceedings is nil and nix. Could not recommend this attorney to fight a traffic ticket.

Whatever you do, do not go to this attorney. He es errogant has an attitude, does not communicate, does not return phonce calls or emails. I went to him for help and he never answered my questions or gave me any idea concerning my case. He did not motify any orders for me, it seem like he was part of opossing party. He was late to a court hearing and behaved very rude!!!! I am a single mother and he just took my money. He lack professional ethics and compassion for his clients!
