Four years I worked on getting a divorce from my husband who had her as a lawyer. Court date after court date postponed. Then DFS with allegations. Two guardian ad litems later. Good gawd my ex husband and I spent a small fortune. It did not have to be this hard. Looking back and seeing reviews I understand her motive. I literally met/saw her a few times and got quite a smug look from her. I don't even know this woman. So unprofessional. Look elsewhere if you need a divorce.

Sherri was my attorney for a divorce involving no children or property and it took over 4 years until she withdrew blaming my incompetence. However, I have documentation showing otherwise and my case was resolved and settled within 6 months with another attorney.
I contacted her with regards to her conduct and she continued to make excuses and defending her performance as my attorney. During this time her office moved to several different places.
I was going to file charges against her for violation of professional rules of misconduct. SC96987 -SHERRI L. EDWARDS, RESPONDENT As seen (or MO Supreme Court Case 96987) someone has already beat me to proving Sherri has committed a violation of the rules of professional conduct or has committed some other misconduct and as a penalty she cannot practice law for a certain period of time.
Do not take any business to this person because I am afraid she would claim to be an attorney, take your retainer and leave you with no recourse.

DO NOT HIRE THIS WOMAN! She files paperwork late, she did little to NO work on my case. She agreed to things she knew I wouldnt agree to. She is TERRIBLE! Her communication is poor. She bills for work she did not do, she charges you for going to court on other proples cases. I fired her and hired a better lawyer and how my case has taken a complete 360. Sherri Edwards is the worst completely unprofessional. Unless you want to have to file extra paperwork, argue to get your money back and file complaints with the Office of Cheif Disciplinary Counsel DONT HIRE SHERRI EDWARDS!

DO not hire this lawyer, she botched my sons case, failed to file paperwork, didn't return calls. Fired him for non-pymt even though he had receipts. Said her office help didn't update his file. He had to hire another atty, 2 weeks before his case. Judge denied contiuance. There is a liitle girl involved who is now lost in the system. I have read other reviews and we all say the same things, she should be disbarred!!

RUN AWAY!!! Horrible communication, lots of canceled meetings with various excuses. After hearing it time and again and nothing getting done and her no showing for scheduled calls and meetings, you kind of lose faith. When you did actually get to see her in office or court she said all the right things and claimed to have plans. After the face to face nothing was followed through on but you sure did still get billed! Got so sick of it I filed a complaint with the state and after it being reviewed by the board, it was found that she was indeed negligent. Due to that I was able to walk away without paying her the remainder of her charges. Seriously, she was absolutely terrible.

-Don't get tangled up with this lawyer! Avoid!
- Overcharged for every tiny thing and was caught padding billing statements.
- She continually took days to reply to e-mails and phone calls.
- Failed multiple times to show up for personal office meetings with no apology!
- Delayed court filings and delayed court dates.
- Sloppy with multiple errors in documents that had to be re-typed.
- Showed lack of professionalism and was easily angered.

she lied and kept me in the dark throughout the entire process. The court order that was finalized was never signed by me, but was signed by a judge. The court order is also messed up and written from the opposing counsel so it sounds very one sided. i would not use her again and would not recommend her to anyone.
