You want to talk about someone who has been an attorney too long, Brasfield simply makes promises he never intends to keep. It takes forever for anything to get filed and forget getting an honest response on the progress of your case.

Is there some law in Tipton County that attorneys have to drag everything out and stick it to the client? I hired Duke Brasfield for a simple divorce case. We were not fighting over property, had no children, etc. In fact, my ex-wife did not even hire an attorney. I was initially told it would cost 500 dollars and would be over in about three months. That seemed fair enough. Not to mention the fact the Brasfield name carries a lot of weight in this area. His wife is a chancellor, Elizabeth Ziarko is his sister-in-law, one would think you were getting the best attorney money can buy. My simple divorce did get settled---ONE YEAR LATER. I kid you not and the 500 dollar price, became 1500 dollars. After the first three months, I would call a couple of times a month and be rudely told "I am working on it." He would then usually hang up. It took a year for a simple divorce from someone who didn't even have an attorney. If that doesn't sum it up, I don't know what does.
