I hired Mr Colvin for a child custody case. What should have been resolved months ago have now dragged out to almost two full years. His office does not return phone calls, emails. They cancel appointments set between opposing attorney. Dragging this out has cost me an additional 3800.00. The only time I can get in touch with him is when I requested a refund. I was told he is working on the my case. Still months have gone by with out a return call or email. DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN!! My opinion he is a ****!!!

When I hired this attorney he told me my total expense would be $2100. I was seeking alimony reduction. I wasn't trying to be cheap but when Colvin told me that I could expect a reduction from $2500 monthly to somewhere between 0-$800 monthly, I jumped on it. Communication was practically nil after that. He was hired in September and it wasn't until June that a mediation was arranged. The mediator indicated that what I had initially been told was way off. Consequently no agreement was reached. A few days later I received a bill from Colvin for $1000 for continued representation. I paid it and included a letter requesting him to call me with any updates. He never did. When I hired another attorney the following September I learned that no action had been taken on my behalf since mediation. It would seem that he told me what I wanted to hear to get my money and then did virtually nothing else. In the course of one year, I received only one itemized statement for less than $20. Beware!!!

DO NOT IGNORE THIS WARNING!! I hired Gregory Colvin in Orlando, FL for an adoption case. Something is going on there, and they are just passing clients back and forth between the 2 other people working there, not returning calls, and have absolutely no idea what is going on with our case. Needless to say I have not spoken to the actual lawyer since I hired him and paid him in full, except for the time I called to ask about hiring him for another case. IF the lawyer passes us to the paralegal, and the paralegal doesnt know where our file is, or whats happening with it, then this is wrong. They are obviously too busy to take on new cases because when I demanded my case info, the paralegal said she had another case to work on. I am not letting this go. They will not give you the retainer back either. I should have listened to my instincts warning me against hiring this law firm. Dont make the same mistake. There are many many other negative reviews online, and filed with the BBB.

Failed to inform me dissoluson of marraige needed to be filed. Cost me $55,000 more in my settlement with ex wife. Also an additional $15,000 in lawyers fees after I fired him and hired another attorney to clean up his mess.
