Greedy lawyer who lies and constantly recommends pleading guilty when you're innocent. Says the case will be easy for him until you pay him. He does deals with the crown where he trades innocent for guilty pleas between his clients. DO NOT TRUST THIS GUY with your life. He got fired from his last firm and is now on his own for this type of behaviour.

Nathan's tact is second to none. I'd never been in enough trouble to involve a lawyer before, but he made me feel at ease and I had confidence in him from day one. He knows the system and will make it work for you. I highly recommend him to anyone wishing to delete a traffic violation (or worse...). Job well done, Nate. Thank you, many times over.

What’s rated as “3” is due to not being able to assess those areas. I found Mr. Baker online and was given the 30min free consultation despite informing the staff that it would be unlikely I’d be retaining him. I found Mr. Baker to be knowledgable regarding the areas of my charges (DUID). He brought up several points which were of use to me in the days & weeks that followed. He also explained potential methods to aid in challenging the Crown from several angles as well as using experts to further erode the evidence put forth. For multiple reasons I did not retain this lawyer, however none of those had anything to do with his degree of competence as I saw it. I cannot recommend that someone avoid or retain Mr. Baker, but I think the value to be had from the 30min meeting is rather generous on the part of the firm. An example some lawyers wanted $200-400/hr just to talk to me. Be prepared, and have your questions prioritized.

I would highly recommend Nathan Aitken Robertson, his legal assistant Carol (who is also incredible by the way) and they're entire team. Not only were they able and took the time to answer all my questions, but they were able to provide peace of mind during a very difficult period in my life... Thanks to Nathan I was able to return home to my wife, in excactly the timeline he predicted, and am well on my way to completing a peace bond, the best possible outcome for my situation! My case proves that just because he specializes in DUI does not mean he cannot handle other criminal offences. Highly recommended!!

I had a chance to read Aitken Robertson’s free book called 17 Secrets to Helping You Survive (and Win) Your DUI Charge, partially written by Peterborough DUI Lawyer Nathan Baker. Nathan Baker has a very good knowledge in impaired by drug law

This lawyer is very good and knowledgable. If he doesn't have the answer he will search until he finds something to at least help get your charges reduced. Very satisfied with the outcome and would definitely use again but hopefully never have too! :)

Nathan Baker is an outstanding attorney who is extremely knowledgeable, tenacious and professional in the courtroom.The fee was fair. He was a excellent choice for representation. He will exhaust every possible defense on your behalf. I completely trust him to be a strong advocate for me and have recommended him to family and friends. I plead guilty to something I was innocent of on his advice, because he said it would be too expensive to plead not guilty. Being scared and knowing nothing about the legal system at the time I went with what he advised. He may be a fine lawyer but think about the advice before doing as he asks. Very rushed, not too concerned about actual events of the charge, seemed like he wanted to get it over with. Just my opinion. Constructively left here in hopes of future improvement.

I retained Nathan Baker for my DUI charges. My experience with Aitken Robertson was very good. I always get a hold of his assistants and they answer any questions that I have. They are great at giving me email updates on my court dates and the progression of my case. Nathan and the staff were professional and friendly. He was straight forward with costs and what to expect. I'd highly recommend Nathan and this law firm to everybody!

I would not recommend Nathan Baker and would never deal with him again. Found this law firm online and based on "good" reviews. I had a first good impression of the lawyer, thats why I went ahead with him. what I realized later on that he likes to sweet talk and say all the things that he is planning to do, but as soon as the case gets in front of a judge, he is not prepaired at all! It seemed to me that he just wanted to get over with my case. I spent a lot of money ( and still paying for his efforless services) for the same results I could have got with representing myself without a lawyer (or I think my chances would have been better). Its a shame that incompetent lawyers like that exist, and middle class workers like me spend all their savings for no results. My case should have been dismissed before it even started, but thanks to this lawyer the case dragged and dragged up until almost the end of my payment arrangement( over a year and empty promises)..

Mr. Baker came highly recommended in Peterborough and the surrounding area. He conducts himself in an extremely professional manner and outlined, in great detail, the process by which the courts would deal with the matter before them. It was interesting to learn that there were different defences available. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone facing charges in Ontario.

Do not choose Nathan baker as your lawyer worst mistake of my life. He was rude with me and made me write a letter that I did not want to. The only reason I did cause he told me I would lose the case if I didn't! I should have fired him right then because I was completely not guilty. All he seemed to talk to me about was how much I need to pay and when and make sure you pay.. He's only in it for the money DO NOT BE FOOLED BY HIS SWEET TALK.

After 'interviewing' 3 other lawyers I made my mind up and hired Nathan Baker. At times I am sure I was not the easiest client to deal with. Stress was getting to be big time. Eventually I realized that I had made the best choice. Nathan got me a great result. He even let me stretch out my payments for his bill. Thanks Nathan!

I actually had to fire him before my trial. He was horrible. He actually suggested pleading guilt when I'm innocent. I swear he has a side deal with the crown because he sure didn't work for me! All he did was cash my checks and when I would see him simply say "oh still a lot to go through. When I hired my new lawyer he actually laughed at the cheesy words and info given to me by Nathan. Save your self the headache and jail sentence! Don't hire this guy!!!!
