She is the worst attorney you could ever pick. After tens of thousands of dollars, I ended up way worse off than before I hired her. Though most attorneys would fight for their clients rights such as joint custody, Rona actually talked me out of joint custody. It was the most horrible advice a divorce attorney could give. I truly regret using Rona, it was a terrible experience.

I hired Rona after reading some of the bad reviews here. I specifically asked Rona about those reviews in my consultation and her answer really impressed me. First she told me that some of them appear to be made up, as she had no idea who the person was, might be the angry ex-spouse of her former clients. As for a review from a real former client, she told me that she cannot comment about a client or former client because she is still bound by privilege. I knew then that she would be the right lawyer for me, one I could trust with everything I needed to tell her, to do the right thing for me and bill me fairly. And she didn't disappoint. No one gets everything they want in a divorce but Rona listened to what was important to me and made those issues a priority. I also saw the amount my husband was billed for our divorce and it was double the amount she billed me. Rona offers a free consultation. Definitely go see her. You'll be glad you did.

She dragged my case, gave my ex everything her attorney asked for without even fighting for me, and in the end I was so broke I lost everything to someone who had screwed me, abused me, walked out on me, and never paid my mortgage. DO NOT HIRE HER

My father hired her from a recommendation from his friend and she immediately took advantage of me, who was exiting a violent relationship. Instead of helping me Rona, took the position that we should pay my physically abusive ex-husband off. She created very large role in exacerbating and worsening my legal situation. I had hoped and expected to be supported, ethically guided, and cared for by my legal representative, and none of these standards were upheld. I was left feeling helpless, violated, affronted, and alone.
Additionally, I have read through most of her reviews on Avvo and google and know the majority aren't from people who have actually hired her. If she is your lawyer, I strongly suggest switching. If you haven't hired her please consider switching, even lawyers who charge $600 will end-up costing you less then Rona.

Obviously the prior reviewers didn't listen to Rona's advice or her explanation as to why she was giving the advice. She explained everything to me and why she felt we had to take certain positions. And I listened to her. I'm glad I did as I, and my kids were able to move on from my divorce whole. Divorce is never a good experience but Rona made the whole experience much easier.

Terrible experience. After almost 2 yrs and thousands of $ I still didn't have a settlement, had to find a lawyer that knew what they were doing. Have a strong feeling she colludes with adversary atty. I got nothing but headaches from dealing with her. Stay away!

I used Rona and her firm Breiter and Gura, and it was the worst experience of my life. I don't want to get into details just that I lost almost everything and it didn't have to be like that. I just hope I help one person from suffering what me and my family went through due to the one person/firm that was supposed to help me in times of need. My opinion - Awful awful attorney and firm.

I retained Rona seven years after I signed my mediated divorce agreement, when I needed to enforce certain provisions. She spent the time to explain to me provisions of the agreement I did not understand and carefully explained to me what she would do for me. She was able to quickly resolve my case and get me the money my ex owed me. She always picked up the phone when I called if she was in the office. If she was not in the office, she always called me back within one day. I definitely recommend her.

Rona Gura is an excellent matrimonial attorney. Rona was extremely diligent and understanding of my needs when she handled my divorce case. I was hesitant to go to Court but my husband, through his inexperienced lawyer was not signing our agreement. Rona explained the process thoroughly and I am so glad I listened to her advice. After one Court appearance, my ex-husband signed the agreement and we were ultimately divorced. Rona was terrific and I highly recommend her.

I have to disagree with one of the comments here about Rona Gura. Someone said she's a lousy lawyer but nice person. Lousy lawyer is a compliment,nice person is an outright lie. She's a nasty individual and highly incompetent. As soon as you realize how awful she is is when her true colors come out. Don't believe anything she tells you in your "free" consult or on their website. They milk the system for every $ possible out of you. If I had continued to use Rona Gura I would have lost everything I owned both financially and family wise. She' the biggest lying snake there is out there.

Ms. Gura promises clients the earth, moon and stars whether she can or can't deliver. She will write verbose documents that initially impress with their scope but in time are proven highly inaccurate. She will tell you how she strives for simple effective settlements. However, she draws out finalizing agreements while creating added tension and even hate toward spouses. Her motive is to eventually steer you into court (which is where she cashes in...for herself). There will only be one winner in my case and that is Ms. Gura.
