Joan did a fantastic job for me in several areas of family law and I continue to regularly rely on her professional advice. She obviously cares deeply about her client's interests, is never afraid to tell it like it is even when I may not want to hear it, and takes great pride in her work. I highly recommend her.

She told me she was filing for discovery of assets at our meeting. A month later I received a bill. She had not yet filed for discovery, and was asking for an additional 500 retainer, despite the fact I'd given her 300 at our meeting. She was consistently charging me 17.50 for every email, even if only to schedule a meeting. She charged me 22 to simply mail me a copy of a letter from the other attorney. Also she talks a lot, but then doesn't remember what you say. She's a poor listener. I felt she was more concerned with billing me than handling my case.
