anyone that rates this lawyer good is probably a woman dating him. He is the most unprofessional rip off out there-I reported him -a joke at best as the Disciplinary counsel could care less, when Cordell got the complaint and they refused to do their job and hold him accountable (they are all women, I'm sure he flirts with) the smart ass sent me a another bill for 600 dollars as a ha ha they did nothing harassment, He showed up late for court, withheld important papers from me,gave info to the other side, missed appts, and basically did a better job for my ex than me and walked off with 2500 dollars after which he told me he does not do petitions or motions to the court, he just shows up! He is worthless! I personally know of clients he told to lie and they were caught by texts! He is a class one jerk!I am sure his complaint list far outweigh any buddy rating him good!

I would absolutely recommend Mr. Cordell to all of my family and friends. Mr. Cordell took on my case knowing it would be a difficult and time consuming case. He went above and beyond what any normal attorney would have done. When my ex threatened my life Mr. Cordell called me to check on my children and I to make sure we were safe. In the end, Mr. Cordell won my case and I was awarded EVERYTHING I had asked for. My family is forever indebted to Mr. Cordell.

You might as well put thousands of dollars in a trash can and set it on fire, or at least donate it to a good cause, This man has no problem, telling the opposing attorney information that will help him, encourages lying in Court, and after taking your money refuses to discuss your case saying he needs another $10,000 to wrote a motion or a Petition! He is the laziest lawyer out there! He is just another Berkeley County, WV disgrace!He will take you money. The Disciplinary Board is as worthless as this Attorney as they refuse to even hear a complaint against him!!! These are the people who are worse than any criminal locked up as they steal under the protection of the law!

All the signs of having a serious personal problem are there; his behavior is strange, he acts like a 5 year old keeping you on the phone just to rack up more minutes (to the point you have to confront him on it, thousands $$ later). He is about double the price as the competent one's in the area and based on other reviews, highly inappropriate with women and asking to party with clients. I think there's more than meets the eye. He's out of control IMHO. I was completely ripped off with the most evil billing summary I've seen in my life! The minutes just don't add up to what he claims he did when you ask the people he spoke with, they say it was a 5 minute conversation he charged 1 1/2 hours for. I'm debating reporting him; I read other reviews where people have and others are debating reporting or court action. You DON'T want an attorney that turns out to be your foe. He cost me tens of thousands for NOTHING! JUST LOSSES AND MINIMAL WORK, MINIMAL INTELLECT USED. What a NIGHTMARE!
