Just met with him this morning. I went to see him to get some documents notarized or certified for the Chinese Consulate. He claimed he knew what he was doing and had done this before. Then he told me my degree needed to be resized and stated that I had to go elsewhere to do this. Isn't this something that he should be doing? Then when I asked him again if he was doing he replied that he had never done this for China before so, in fact, he was NOT familiar with the process. I got up, thanked him for his "help" and for the second or third time he replied with "just wasted my time" as I left the office. Not a professional lawyer at all and I would not recommend him if you need anything certified. Subsequently, I went to another office and that place actually knew what to do and sized the document properly.

I have used Pat Mackesy for many, many years for POA's, Wills, home sales, a divorce, etc. Pat has handled everything in a very professional manner each and every time. He explains things in a manner that the average person like myself can understand. My only concerns are that when he retires I will be hard pressed to find another lawyer with his ethics and professionalism! It is funny as I found this website while looking up his number via the internet and I will be calling his office in the next few minutes to update my Will and POA and I do not even live in Hamilton any longer but will make the drive from Oshawa to continue to have this man represent my interests!!

Pat Mackesy is a wonderful lawyer. He does not write things down because he has an excellent memory. He is very practical and honest. A huge number of his clients return again. Mr. Mackesy is respected by his peers and is routinely referred matters from other lawyers that are too difficult or complex for them to handle. He took exellent care of us and I would highly recommend him.

Pat rocks! He is highly respected, interesting, and a fabulous mediator in family law, especially. He is always prepped and gets right to the heart of an issue rather than waste time on anything. Southern Ontario is lucky to have him!
