David has the knowledge and the confidence that will put you at ease. He will not judge you. Chances are if you need a lawyer you have got yourself into something. The negative reviews don't seem to be taking ownership of that fact. David will do absolutely everything he can to help you, your family, your future. Even if it seems expensive you need to put a value on your future, your life moving forward. He is someone I highly recommend to absolutely anyone who values their future. Do NOT believe this " TOP LAWYERS IN BARRIE " i read this and called david that same day. I would never recommend him to anyone . He is a liar and manipulator . He takes anything you have and leaves you or your family broken. I've come to realize He's had issues with charges himself but has connections with his peers in court to get out of it but will not to the same with his clients. He is truly someone who will prolong his court dates to get more money out of you and court date comes he will not fight for you. Lets see if you get the judge called " the hanging judge" my first offense , i was scared and alonw. Did everything i could to help an assault charge when i was drinking one nightin barrie, i went to private rehab $25000 and paid this lawyer in total $24000 to keep dragging my case on. He did not win the case, when the judge said i was guilty even after rehab ( first offence) i still was charged. i left the court room and he had qoute said ( sorry you had a bad judge)

We had David and Alicia look after us so well. They are both very easy to talk to and always took our calls if and when we had any questions. You never know you need a Lawyer until you do.
I learned that very quickly the night I came home to discover a search warrant had been executed at my house.
The moment I heard the news, I was in complete shock, told only to contact the police and turn myself in.
This was my first experience dealing with a serious legal matter and as such my mind was a complete blurr. My first reaction was to do as instructed, call the police, 'they'll help me, righht?' WRONG —In these situations, the police are not there to help you, their purpose is to achieve a conviction, this is why you need a lawyer.
I did the same thing you're doing right now. Looking for someone local, someone I can trust and at the end of the day will provide fair legal representation.

David is very good at performing "THE HYPNOTIZING BOOGIE". But funny, he really enjoys being taken off the record. I believe its more like, a "Riverboat fantasy". Who knows, he maybe even into a little "Dirty deeds", but NOT done dirt cheap. But there maybe a newsong brewing, "MY LIES KEEP ME IN TROUBLE, I WANT ALL YOUR MONEY I SEE". DO YOUR RESEARCH PEOPLE, I personally, was trusting and, I was taken on a "Riverboat fantasy", which lead to "The Song He Never Wrote". In turn, the Judge, called "Me the bad apple" as David sang, Downtown, came uptown for me", as I was left doing the "Bearcat", while given "A Bad Reputation" and left in "Johhnys Camaro thinking "Somethings Shakin", as I headed to the "Cheap Beer Joint", doing the "Bearcat", as I remembered that, Judges, and Lawyers have "The Natural Edge". So be carefull of which song you oay for, as, this performer has "Breakfast at The Circus",in "The Eye of the Hurricane", while, "Doing the Grind" singing,"It Will Work on You".

All I am at Liberty to say right now is, "read everybody else's posts" I wish I had, and the person who referred me to David, and drove me to David's office, has now developed a bad memory, doesn't know David Wilcox, didn't drive me there,, ? Makes one wonder doesn't it.??? Anyway these are just my views, please use your own discretion when selecting a lawyer, it's sometimes harder than the actual court. I'm not going to get into my horror story as of yet, I will allow justice to take its full course regarding this unethical lawyer and his friends and allow all evidence to be set before the court as that is the rule, No?? . I was recommended Dave Wilcox by my business lawyer to help me in my situation. Dave was excellent from day one to the last court date which was successful. Alicia was always available to answer questions for me on the phone and what she didn't know she was sure to get back to me with an answer. Dave is very knowledgeable and knows what to do, all you have to do is take his advise, he will do the rest. I am grateful, Dave was able to put this part of my life behind me and hope to meet him again on a less stressful encounter. Worst lawyer ever. Said everything needed to get our business and did nothing after he got the case. He was terrible and didn't even read the case or review the case file in detail. Spent one hour with us in total. During court he made errors and the judge helped him. It was a gong show. Huge waste of money hiring him. He also lies and forgets what he says from conversation to concervation. It was a sad and unfortunate experience. I wish I read about him prior to hiring him. I felt so bad for his secretary she had a hard time trying to cover for his constant errors.

Mr. Wilcox, in my opinion, is one of the least ethical people I have had the misfortune of dealing with. He does nothing to assist people in Youth Court. I fell he believes that because they are youths, they will only get a slap on the wrists on carry on. That is not always the case. I have also heard that he told a young man to commit perjury in terms that would lead the person to adhere to what he wanted them to say, but not in a way that would be necessarily encouraging perjury. He has an average amount of knowledge, but he has no business practicing law.

I had such a bad experience with David Wilcox, I hired him in June,2012 and in 9 month, There are no dates for meeting, and no paper work showing what, if anything, has been done. A professional lawyer should send a monthly statement of work rendered
he didnt send me court papers,he did nothing to help me or my case,only showed up court date and me $10,000 for doing nothing, he didn't even study my case. His secretary never let her meet or talk to David, she always had same answer for us, don't worry, we gonna win the answer, its such a simple case, but we lost the case and I found guilty of what I never did. I fired him and going for appeal but he is such an unprofessional lawyer that he is not send information to my appeal lawyer. I wish I could go back and change my lawyer. such a bad choice, if u even see him, run from him.

Talked a good game until trial date whereupon he decided that it would be in my best interest to plead guilty in a plea bargain with the crown, even though the police had three different stories (conspiracy) and no concrete evidence as well as illegal search and siezure. Fired him on the spot and got another lawyer from Toronto. Took almost $8000.00 of my money for nothing except a few court appearances.
