8/23/11   5     5     5     5     5   When I made my decision to file for bankruptcy I did research, going through a link on the U.S. court website. Not many lawyers were listed or gave their fees but Ms. Drain did. Her fee was not the lowest and not the highest. I visited a few attorneys and they would give me a pile of papers to fill out, then input again by their staff - an extra $1000! By inputting yourself you can save. When I compared websites, saw Ms. Drain's thorough and caring info I immediately knew I was in the right place. It was clear she was committed to helping people in financial distress. I especially liked her personal, caring tone, that showed compassion, in writing and in person. The process was quick and easy. I think by having to enter all the information and with quick responses to questions from Ms. Drain & her associate it was a way for me to take responsibility for the process.(To the person who said she charged them $2500, that's not her fee - so that reviewer is suspect to me).  8/17/11   5     5     5     5     5   Diane Thank you for the hard work that Jay and yourself put in to my case. Going to bankruptcy was the last thing I ever wanted but was forced due to health issues. Not only were you available for communications during the process you have made yourself available for consultations long after the discharge. Honesty is the best policy and knowing the law is paramount to good representation. letting your clients know the law helps all who will listen know what their options are on each issue. Thank you for your help and continued guidence. Your fee in my mind was very generous and considerate!! RID: 50345

7/25/11   5     5     5     5     5   The absolute best with integrity and ethics. Diane made our bankruptcy so much less painful with her compassion and ethics. Our bankruptcy went through without a hitch. Dealing with Diane is like receiving help from a friend. For the person below who complained; perhaps you should have gone with a $99.00 Bankruptcy special at your local book store. Or perhaps you could have filed yourself knowing all the bankruptcy laws for your state. You get what you pay for folks. I will be recommending Diane to anyone who ask. Thank you Diane. :) RID: 49110

Click to report rating    7/14/11   5     5     5     5     5   The person who complained about Diane Drain's legal expertise obviously is not being honest. Diane does require that the debtor be actively involved in their bankruptcy. She will not allow anyone to delegate the responsbility to fill out information about the debts or the assets. The law requires that all debts be listed, otherwise the unlisted creditor can sue the borrower after bankruptcy is completed. So Ms. Drain is very serious about the debtor providing all this information. If you want to see how her clients feel about her service - go to her web site at www.DianeDrain.com. Look for client comments. There are dozens of comments from clients estolling the legal assistance that Ms. Drain provided. I have referred my mother and several friends to her. They all loved her work, but admitted that bankruptcy was not easy. She has 25 years of experience in bankrutpcy and is simply the best in the business. RID: 48557
Click to report rating    7/13/11   5     5     5     5     5   Thank you. It was a pleasure and privilege to be your client. I am continually grateful that I was led to you to help me through my bankruptcy process. You are truly the best of the best and it would be a welcome honor to share my most wonderful and painless experience I had with you as my guide and wise counsel with anyone at any time. I have never read directions and followed rules more thoroughly in my life, and I couldn’t be more grateful for your master-planned website and life experience in this profession to make sure I remained educated and on track throughout. For your guidance, infinite knowledge and wisdom, professional-counsel and encouragement, I am most grateful. I sing your and Jay’s praises from the rooftops for the array of help and guidance I received. RID: 48475
Click to report rating    10/28/09   4     1     2     4     1   Diane Drain is not much more than a high-priced ($2500+) clerk. I can't quote one example of how she added value to our case other than processing our bankruptcy data through her computer system to spit out the forms. Just like the tax guy! Although she did return calls and emails (which were almost always initiated by us) she absolutely refused to give any guidance based on her knowledge or past experience. She wouldn't even answer when the questions were posed in the form of "Is it unusual...", "What are the odds that...", "What can we expect...", or "Do you think...". All we got back were quotations of the law for us to interpret. I ended up having to use Law.com to get a straight answer! Sorry Diane, thumbs down. Hope this helps keep someone else from making the same mistake! RID: 23641
