My experience was brutal. Her only concern was in reference to the amount of money she was going to make in defending some less than honorable lawyers that are alleged to have been negligent. A waste of time. Nothing but a technical juggling of facts.

I hired Vicky Seaton to settle a family law issue. I was told that she would request that my ex husband be ordered to pay all attorneys fees which he was ordered to pay only thing she forgot to mention was that it was up to me to collect the money from him. If I couldn't get him to pay child support how was she expecting me to get him to pay her fees. Lots of time and money lost with no results.

Vicky Seaton was the best lawyer I could have possibly hoped for. She provided me with a realistic overview of my case and kept on top of everything at all times. In fact, during an emotional point of time for myself, Vicky even responded to emails while she was away on vacation without charging me for this. She is extreemly capable, realiable and keeps her bills in check. It would be well worth your while to consult Vicky Seaton. We are SO happy!

Vicky did some legal work for us and she went up and beyond most lawyers. She even came to our home when we were not feeling well. She is very caring and very exact in her details to the work. I would highly recommend her for your legal needs. Her prices were very reasonable as well.

The Law Society of Upper Canada says attorneys should be up front with their clients in terms of fees and disbursements. They need to be reasonable and disclosed in a timely manner. Make sure you review this guideline with this attorney, and get absolutely everything in writing. Make sure you approve every action that she does before she does it, or there is a possibility that her bill could get away from her original verbal quote. I did not do these things, and my fee, originally quoted at $1500, turned into $6500+...for a small claims action seeking damages of $8900! I had to fire her in the middle of the trial so that the bill didn't skyrocket even more. This really hurt my chances of winning. If I lose, I'll have to also pay the lawyer fees of the defendant, too. I felt betrayed by this lawyer. Do not put your trust in this person...get it in writing!!!!
