I am Michael Peterson, Esq. and I fully dispute the statements made by one of Mr. Archer's former clients, above. I worked up this client's case and obtained the best result possible for him. This client loaned his nephew the sum of appx $10K without consulting any attorney and without writing in an attorney fee provision into his 'napkin' contract on the loan. After the client's family member defaulted on the loan, the client retained us to sue his nephew, which I did under a breach of contract theory. I obtained a maximum judgment which included past and future interest. At no time did I ever promise this client he would recoup his attorney fees; he never made that possible by failing to write such a clause into his own loan contract. I requested attorney fees as part of the client's judgment, but the request was rejected by the judicial officer. I regret this client's net gain is not what he hoped for, but he made a poor loan, and I did everything I legally could to help.
