Jeff was straightforward and incredibly focused on what was best for me, always working relentlessly to secure the best. His dedication went beyond just winning my case; he helped see my children and played a crucial role in ending the abuse I had been enduring. Separation and Divorce is amongst the most difficult things a person can go through. Jeff was extremely professional and calm during this event. Being a business owner and having children, there was a lot a stake, but Jeff understood my beliefs and values, and he respected them, and cared about my outcome. I hired Jeff for an appeal based on reviews. This was a huge mistake. Jeff is terrible at responding in a timely manner. He waited until the very last minute to file the appeal. On the day of the hearing, he was ill prepared, messed up the facts and was just an embarrassment based on his presentation. He was a complete waste of time and my hard earned money. Not surprisingly, we lost the appeal due to Jeff’s lack of effort and knowledge of the details of the case. He assured me that I had a strong case for an appeal and once he received the retainer, his position on the matter changed. Not only was I out the legal fees, suffered the loss of the appeal but I was forced to pay costs that he agreed to with opposing counsel without my approval. He gives lawyers a bad name.

My family was blessed to have Jeff's help resolving a very complicated and potentially very dangerous international custody dispute back in 2014. I shudder to think of where my daughter and granddaughter would be today without Jeff's knowledge, experience, tenacity, and compassion. Jeff has represented me for more than a year to help me obtain a much needed spousal support payment. As a newly single, middle-aged woman starting a new career path in Toronto, I was terrified. Jeff represented me in court a few times after my ex-husband, another lawyer, had been giving me an expensive run-around for years with the other three family law lawyers I had hired previously. As someone else said, he is very well prepared in court and a highly intelligent person. An amazing litigator - he doesn't make mistakes. I wish he would have represented me from the beginning. I recently used this lawyer and I have to say he was very helpful and gave suggestions that I would not have thought of. I found him very approachable and he responded to my email replies. When I started my family law proceeding I felt helpless and distraught. I had difficulty getting a grip on what was going on and could hardly make it through the day.
