If you want someone who will fight hard for you when it counts then hire this man. Very knowledgeable with divorce, marital property and alimony issues. Almost always accessible and quick to act when needed.

I would give him 10 stars if it was possible! I did not know I had a son until this yea because my ex kept it a secret until she needed money. She wanted 11 years of back support and she wanted to continue keeping my kid away from me for no reason.He had my back support reduced to 1 year and my kid is with me for half of the summer and every other weekend now.I don't know if 4 moths it took is fast as I have nothing personal to compare it to but the cases of my friends seem to drag on forever.Quick to respond and quick to act.Made my ex's lawyer sweat. Does not give up.Easy to reach. My wife and I are very happy and my kids have a new sibling thanks to him. 10/10 for sure.

I hired him on July 27, 2018. I was paying 14,850 in Child and Spousal support per month and had no contact with my kids. As of September 19, 2018 I pay $5900 and have my children almost half the time. The best lawyer in town!

Complete incompetence, zero communication and an utter lack of desire to get the job done. Assuming you are paying an estate Lawyer to handle an estate you think they could actually fill the paper work out properly ? The process takes months to go through court. Now we wait months again because of lazy, pathetic efforts on the part of Igras Family law. Repeated attempts at contact during the process were shunned while later excuses not related to our case were given. This law firm is a JOKE.

Waldemar is motivated only by charging unreasonable fees, he does not return calls or information requests. i fired him and found four or five letters from my estranged wife's lawyer that i was not aware of and that he had not responded to. he rarely returned my calls and when he did offered more fluff than substance. I fired him in time to salvage my case otherwise more damage would have been done to my case and my children. My recommendation is to stay away from him and look for legal counsel elsewhere.

I have a complicated case and have gotten good results with him so far. Always available day, night, evening and weekends. IN HINDSIGHT he over-prepared (at my expense $) every time we went to court. Not complaining - better than not being prepared but I'm paying by the hour. Everything he said would happen has happen so good at predicting the judges and my ex's lawyer. I will update at the end.

Yes I would definitely recommend him. He is devoted to his work. He is smart, a good listener and committed. He is loyal to his client, honest and ethical. His fees are considered average for a divorce lawyer in Calgary. I was fortunate to have had him as a lawyer.

Without any doubt, the worst service I have ever experienced in my life. Igras promises a lot but appeared to be always ‘too busy’ on more important matters to deal with my case. For meetings, he invariably arrives late and ill prepared or just cancels without warning and repeatedly fails to deliver on agreed deadlines. When things slip, he simply cannot be contacted for extended periods. His manner is dismissive and arrogant. However, he is extremely diligent on billing his time.
Ultimately, my dealings with Igras delayed me by months and cost me thousands of dollars after which I have had to start over with a new, and far more responsive, lawyer. Avoid at all costs.

Will try to make you spend your money and then stalls and delays your file. His priority is to get your money for a retainer and then sits on the file. Does not get things done even when there is urgency. Once he knows you have no money, he stops working. Likes to check out avenues that go nowhere. Don't waste your time and money with this lawyer. Constantly emails to increase his legal bill. I waited 3 months and did not get anywhere with my file and finally had to find another lawyer.

I found Waldemar to be creative and smart and stubborn (he tells me same stuff no matter what but at least he is consistent). He does not quit if you have the money and if you are looking for someone to go to court with. I agree that he does send a lot of emails and he does charge for them and then more emails and more costs but it is the best way to reach him. Fewer misunderstandings I suppose. He will not work without money he stopped working until I paid him but I did. We went to court for one day and I am happy with how most of my case turned out except back pay for support which was not fair. Do not delay. He put in all of my points. We did a lot of work and there is more to come.

I used Waldemar for Court in a matter that dragged on for 3 years after I fired another lawyer. My file was 6 binders and two boxes and unlike the last reviewer I found him and his assistant to be very organized and responsive. They scanned everything. He likes to e-mail and can be reached until late hours. Quick thinker. He asked and charged me for updates because I had a lot of access problems at first. He did his research and updated me frequently and did charge for it but that was better than no updates like with my old lawyer. It cost me a pretty penny but I am happy with the results which includes getting my children full time and getting property dealt with. I pay no alimony to my ex who got 2 million. He is a nice guy when he is less busy. He made time to see me on Sundays. He took my call for free. would use him again and sent a friend to him in August. Do not use him if you have no money because he is not cheap but in life you get what you pay for.

Be very cautus of this lawyer, he is extremely un organised and is very good at making you feel he is on top of things. Waits until the last minute, shows up un prepared and emails you leaving questions hanging just so he can bill for every response.

He is very fair with his rates. He is very easy to reach day and night. He had a previous court ruling to cancel all child support payments reversed and won! The father is not the bio dad however he stood in loco parentis from birth and 4yrs old. The court ruled that the father has a disability income and is responsible for the childs welfare. He was able to show the judge that there was a long history of court orders reducing the amount of support over the past two years. The judge sent out a strong message that before moving on to a new partner the first priority is caring for the childs welfare. Although the father has placed himself in high debt with his overspending habbits.

He is a reasonable lawyer with reasonable rates and billing. Also he likes going to Court but in the end my file settled but not until a lot of legal fees and several proposals.

Worked hard and got the results I wanted on my divorce. Was up front about fees and my options. Went to court 3 times. Missed returning some of my e-mails but did not charge to read them. Not too bad overall.
