My daughter called for a consultation , the paralegal who answered did not ensure she received her , free consultation with the attorney, but informed her she could help her if she didn’t have $5000.00 retainer , but to call her on her private line after work. Took $500 from her and tried to advisor that this was best for her situation. I had her contact an attorney who did provide her with her 15 minute free consultation , and informed her that a retainer of $2500 was needed an that she was not properly informed , when I informed ms. Mariana Davis of this she took offense and said she would refund only $300 for her time !! Hmm I would call this preying and an injustice. I would like to here from ms. Wechsler, if this is how she conducts business. I have never heard of this before, I believe I will contact another attorney myself or the BAR and ask this question.

Absolutely the worse attorney on the planet m, she has even threaten to sue me for leaving a bad review. RUN AWAY she totally screwed me over on my parenting plan. Also charged me another 7k for loosing my case. Ended up paying. Her 14k for NOTHING she eventually stabbed me in the back and sided with. I am telling you she only cares about your money and I wish I never had her. I hired two other attorneys to try and fix her lousy work and she has costs me another 10k in repair work. Both attorneys could not believe she left me in the position she did. Please do yourself a favor and DONT USE THIS LOOSER. You are a damn liar you put A $7500 LIEN ON MY HOUSE AND WHEN I SOLD IT YOU WERE PAID. IT COST 15k FOR NOTHING YOU DAMN LIAR. NOW YOU SHOULD BE SUED FOR MALPRACTICE. IF ANYONE WANTS TO SEE MY PAYMENTS TO HER PLEASE ASK. IF ANYONE ELSE WANTS TO FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE BAR LOOK ME UP.

Everything that has been said in the reviews are exactly what happened to me. I would NEVER recommend this attorney to my worst enemy. When your money runs out so does she. She only looks out for herself, she will tell you what you want to hear so you retain her after that you feel you are on your own and you are. Beware.

EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE. BILLS OUTRAGEOUSLY FOR EVERYTHING. WITHDREW FROM CASE WHEN THE GOING GOT TOUGH. FAILED TO COLLECT ALL NEEDED FINANCIAL DOCUMENTS TO PROCEED. WANTED ME TO SIGN ON TO A $105 MONTHLY CHILD SUPPORT AGREEMENT FOR 2 CHILDREN. HUSBAND WOULD REFUSE TO SUBMIT ALL FINANCIALS AND DID NOT HELP. FIFTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS IN FEES AND SHE BAILS. WE NEED TO COME TOGETHER, REPORT HER and HIRE AN ATTORNEY TO HELP US RETRIEVE OUR FUNDS.

I agree with everything that has already been said about this attorney. She only cares about her billable hours and she will milk every dollar out of you. There is no communication from this office, and the mistakes and lack of action from her staff is unbelievable. She has no compassion, has very limited communication with her clients, and will drag your case out as long as there is money. I would not recommend this attorney.

Do not hire this lawyer until you look at how many of her clients she has sued. I hired Ms. Wechsler to handle a family matter. At the conclusion of the case I had several hundred dollars in my account. She sent me letters wanting to help me with another matter, each letter she sent was charged to my account until she had ran over the thousands of dollars I had given her. I asked her numerous times to stop contacting me. Finally I had to hire another lawyer just to get her off my back. Someone needs to take her to task and turn the tables. Take my advise and avoid this women like the plague.

I WAS MISREPRESENTED BY MERCEDES R WECHSLER IN A DIVORCE CASE.(VALUE)GAVE HER OVER EIGHT THOUSAND DOLLARS.SHE WITHDREW FROM MY CASE WITH ALOT OF MONEY LEFT IN MY RETAINER.SHE WITHDREW THE DAY OF MY COURT HEARING,LEAVING ME UNREPRESENTED.IN ACHIEVING MY OBJECTIVES,SHE WAS TERRIBLE.SHE WOULD NOT LISTEN AND TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION ON WHAT I WOULD HAVE TO SAY.THE WORK QUALITY OF HER STAFF IS TERRIBLE.I RECEIVED PAPERWORK IN MY MAIL FROM HER OFFICE THAT BELONGED TO OTHER CLIENTS OF HERS THAT WERE CONFIDENTIAL.IN MY OPINION,HER ARROGANCE CAUSED HER TO BE UNABLE TO ADMIT TO OR TO RECTIFY HER BLATANT ERRORS.NEEDLESS TO SAY,I LOST THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS BY HIRING HER.I'M NOT EVEN DIVORCED.SHE DID NOT FOLLOW THROUGH WITH MY CASE AS INTENDED.I WOULD ALSO GET CONFLICTING STORIES FROM THE OFFICE STAFF.SO BASICALLY,SHE RAN UP THE BILL AND I'M BACK AT SQUARE ONE..............................

I was represented by Mercedes Wechsler in a child custody case. In my opinion: I found her to be tenacious in cranking out the letters using boiler plates for the sole purpose of adding to her billable hours. In my opinion, she did not follow through with the intent of the letters from my perspective as her client. In my opinion, she dragged out the case only to enrich herself. Despite a hefty fee for "preparation" in my opinion, she was completely unprepared for my hearing and forgot the most basic of facts which resulted in me needlessly losing thousands of dollars. I engaged another attorney to complete the case. In my opinion, her arrogance caused her to be unable to admit to or to rectify her blatant errors. In my opinion, she quickly turns her tenacious contentiousness on her own clients. In my opinion, I would have been better represented without a lawyer than with her. I suggest you check the court record of her cases against her own clients.
