I am a business owner who has used lawyers to handle different types of matters for over 20 years. But when I needed a divorce lawyer I asked around and Ms. Conway's name came up twice. I set up an initial meeting and was impressed. She has handled thousands of divorces and was smart and straight forward. I was really amazed by how I was kept informed and how promptly calls were returned. Like I said I have used the services of lawyers for years and never had every call returned that day, even after 5 pm. She was aggressive when necessary. I do not think unreasonable or vindictive clients would appreciate her honest assessments, but I certainly did. She had my back and gave me solid legal advice. Being in business I know how unreasonable and difficult customers can be, especially when they are emotional/under stress. Even so, I admit I was not always the perfect client. She fought hard and communicated well. I highly recommend her. She did an outstanding job.

Drug my case out for two years and pulled every unethical move possible.When she realized she would not be paid for the torment she put our child through,that was the end of her effort. I guess that's why her rating is so low. If you love your children,not the lawyer for you... She could care less.

Ms. Conway has forgotten, if she ever knew, that she is working for her clients. She is a service provider. As such, she needs to treat her clients as customers of her services. Ms. Conway may deal with dissolutions every day but for each of her individual clients this is likely their only time to deal with a lawyer or endure a tragic life event other than the death of a loved one. Furthermore, Ms. Conway needs to learn to be an advocate for her clients to pursue their reasonable desires and goals and not dismiss the same without discussing why the desire or goal might be unrealistic. In summary, I recommend anyone, and I mean anyone, who needs consultation about family law matters to seek counsel otherwise. Find you an attorney that is interested in you and what is in your best interest.

She did a fantastic job on my divorce. Worked very hard, was reasonable in the rate charged, and kept me posted on the status of my case. Her office staff was helpful and polite.

After paying Ms. Conway almost $25,000, she realized we had no more money and bailed in the middle of trial. She is incompetant, unprofessional and demonstrates juvenille behavior in fit throwing, threatening the client, failure to act in the best interest of her client. Her ego is too big for her to properly represent a client. She talks down to the client, overbills, etc. and when she is called out on it, she behaves like a two year old. I would not pay her again to represent my dog. If you are looking for an attorney in Jackson, MS who practices family law, please do not stop with Kathleen. Go up the street to Mark Chinn. He is a real attorney and always acts in the best interest of his client, unlike Ms. Conway who bilks the client out of everything they have and then looks for excuses to quit. She refuses to follow direction and represent at all, much less represent fairly. She needs to be disbarred and take her chest beating elsewhere. She is pathetic.
