I cannot say enough bad things about David Jones who is a bankruptcy attorney in Fairfax County VA. I know he currently has at least one law suit pending and I am considering adding another. David Jones was happy to take our check 4 years ago and since then it has been a total nightmare. He suggested we claim bankruptcy before the bank foreclosed on our condo... I asked a dozen times if that was smart and he promised it would all be ok. He then told us to stop paying our condo fees, we did... we now owe thousands in condo fees because the bank has yet to foreclose. BOA told us that anytime you claim bankruptcy before foreclosure, it slows the process to stand still. we contacted him a dozen more times to ask him what he was thinking and to help us fix the mess he made... he refused to even man up and talk to us. He is slimy and incompetent. I could have done better filing on my own and frankly, I should have.

I would not recommend this attorney. He is almost impossible to get a hold of after you pay him and he never returns your calls or keeps you informed on what’s going on. At times he seems like he doesn’t know what he’s doing and he’s too lazy to look up things he’s unsure of. I filed bankruptcy through him and during the process my bank froze one of my accounts. He seemed bewildered on what to do and avoided my phone calls when I was checking to see what he was doing about the situation. To make a long story short he did nothing about that situation and the bank confiscated my money. There was even a time when I set up an appointment to see him with his assistant and when I got to his office, she informed me that he left early because he wanted to attend his daughters recital.
You will waste thousands of dollars if you hire him. I would take my chances with anyone else besides him. His contact information is below so you know to avoid him at all cost….
