I worked with Claire on my custody case for my son in 2008 and was very pleased. She was professional, kind and very easy to work with. I also enjoyed the student involvement in my case. I would recommend her to anyone.

Quite quick tempered and can be unprofessional. Because she works in a Legal Aid clinic which generally does not charge the client, she feels she can be disrespectful at times. She sees all cases as "the same" and loves to stereotype. She is more concerned with giving an opportunity for the students to learn and gain experience through the clients case, than she is about actually helping the client. She does not know how to support and represent the client and can only help the client in areas that are quite straightforward and would be completely irrational and inappropriate if the other party would dispute such legal obligations. And to do that, she will drag it out, giving her students an opportunity to learn "negotiation" It is worth every penny to pay a lawyer and have the service done professionally and in the client's best interest than to go through a legal aid clinic it seems. Claire Hepburn needs to learn how to represent the client , not the opposing party.
