I gave this attorney the lowest could be given, Craig van theil & Mike fischer will take your retainer and whatever else they think they can get from you , please people beware of this law firm agency as they will try to have you served court papers if you do not end up giving them what they want . Do not pay them any money, after they do work for you and try to scam hours they never worked they will mount interest upon interest every month to get you to pay them , don’t do it ! Your time starts over if you end up giving in and paying them money they did not earn . Don’t be intimidated by them and above all do not sign any agreements with them you will regret it after you did . Please people look out for these scammers especially during this national pandemic because they see this time as an opportunity to try and take anything you may have . They are not your friend and they are not here to help you but only themselves.

DISGUSTING unethical, illegal behavior. Check the STATE BAR COMPLAINTS and claims against these attorneys, as well as the suits pending against them. I should have, and due to my own poor research I am now joining on the bandwagon.
I was taken advantage of during the vulnerable time of divorce, and left with nothing after a year long battle. If it's not enough to fight though a divorce, expect to be forced to sue your "attorney" as well. After poor representation I settled my divorce on my own, and the firm stole the entire settlement and will not pay out one penny.
Craig Van Thiel will pad your bill, make verbal contracts that mean nothing, intentionally manipulate your case for his own financial gain, and then blame it on his partner Fischer.
If I could leave a worse review I would. Especially if you are a woman or young, WATCH out!

These two need to be reported to the bar association, they are the biggest ripoffs and liars and very incompetent two lawyers they steal your money and never do what they say!, they are trying to get more money from me for work they never did! Im gonna picket in front of their office and let the world known what thieves they are!!

He promised an aggressive defense in my divorce, but instead rolled over on every point. He seemed cowed by opposing counsel and spent more time working to get me to submit to their demands. I did better on my own!

These two attorney's husband and wife Elizabeth Van Thiel & Craig Van Thiel are the biggest lieing ripoffs you would ever want to meet they pull people in take all there money use it all and don't do the work, also incompetent, They are not to be recommended.They are up in oceanside, they are no good lawyers, Please stay away from them. They took my money the sneaky Elizabeth and told me she was going to have grandparents visitation rights done for me in one week no more than two weeks and she lied and started backing out and letting her husband take over which is two big ripoffs together and took most of all my retainer money and did not do the work I am right back where I started they also made paper work errors down at the court house that held up the case for a long time still nearly three months they still haven't done the work, I went up to oceanside to get my file that they were still sitting on and had lied about the dates, Mr. Van Thiel became hostile against me that is guilt.

He took $2400 retainer promised to file case in a week, two months later nothing done. Had the nerve to bill me for work he did not do.I found the defendant's address myself. I might have to sue him.

Craig assisted mye through my Domestic Vilence case with compassion and profesionalism. Craig was sensative to my situation and worked diligently to protect my children and myself from mya abusive husband.
