He took a retainer from us and did nothing which set our case back when I called to complain he said he was leaving the firm. A total crook!

Mr. Pfanstiel is still lying about himself as he seems to have been doing for years. The company he works for when you look up the company owners lives by him in Omaha and they are claiming to have all sorts of engineers and employees online that they don't have. It is all lies and when you go to linkedin to the employees under hustad you see they are all fake accounts as well.

Chris sucked me into his world of "VIP" status and inviting us to events, his home for dinner only to have him leaching every dollar from me while not getting anything done! He racked up over $6K in legal fees to collect $3,500.00 from a customer that clearly owed me.... He milked me for over $20K between 2013 and 2016 on a case that should have been open and shut! His actions, or lack thereof cost me years of stress and will end up taking years off of my life... I am a different and more callused person having been put through the ringer by this man! Not a day goes by I don't think of how my family and I were taken advantage of for years, which goes to show you there is a reason he is now a salesman and no longer practicing law. I went to his office to pick up my files and mentioned to the women up front how I was treated, they all looked at each other and said "Does not surprise me!"

Christopher A. Pfanstiel now is claiming to have an excess of 15 year’s construction litigation with "fierce advocacy" and now claims to be a software designer as well for Hustad companies. Funny he forgets that all his previous life stories are archived online for life. He says you can find him in the mountains in Omaha. Kind of like he claimed to be a lawyer in Colorado until 2016 that never happened. Never in all his claims in the past that are archived online that he posted about himself has he ever stated he practices construction law or been a software designer. All family court and his so called estate law practice. Meanwhile he is also now claiming just to be an active member of pheasants forever instead of the chapter president for the last 15 years that he previously claimed to be... He is a volunteer for a hospital now? He still claims to be a member of the rotary that he lied to become a member of. "High loss insurance claims" or pure fraud?

I started to check into Mr. Pfanstiel and even now everything he is currently saying about himself is a massive lie. Nothing is real. IE: On linkedin he is stating that he is the president of a Nebraska Pheasants Forever chapter and has been for 15 years. More Fraud. I called the head of Nebraska Pheasants Forever and they said he has never been a president and no one can even find a record that he was ever even any committee member. The real person who is the chapter president has been for at least the last 7 years. Pfanstiel is also claiming he is now licensed to practice in Colorado hiding anything about himself ever having a firm in Nebraska because of all the fraud. Colorado is another massive lie. He was ad suspended in Colorado in 2007 and has not been able to practice there since. He claims to do both Colorado State and Supreme Court. Before in Nebraska he never said anything about when he was in Colorado. HE IS A HUGE FRAUD.

Wasn't impressed. Felt he twisted the facts. When a person takes an oath to tell the truth,the "whole" truth and nothing but the truth" Felt he did not allow me to tell the "whole" truth. Had a meeting with him, he was about an hour and a half late.

Chris can be trusted to handle civil litigation and estate planning. He has handled numerous issues for me and some family members very well. I would recommend Chris without reservation.

I retained Attorney Pfanstiel for resolution of my Father's Estate. The Will was contested by another family member. I am very pleased with the outcome and credit Pfanstiel with a job well done during such an emotional time in my life!

Read through these reviews on here and I would agree with all the negatives. When you go to his "website" and call the number it is forwarded to another office and according to the receptionist Chris is just an employee. I previously needed to get paperwork from him and Chris did nothing, was rude, arrogant, and completely disrespectful. The positive reviews on here seem to be written by him personally. I can not tell you how much hurt this man has caused myself and my children in the custody case involving him. Please understand that this attorney is one of the most careless people I have met my entire life and he has no regard for anything other than collecting the first check. He lied to me so many times I can not count. Do Not Use him or anyone around him. He is Toxic.

I used this attorney for my dissolution involving children was extremely pleased with his attention to detail and overall knowledge of the law as it applied to my case, and at an extremely affordable rate compared to the previous of the "quotes" I had received when shopping for an attorney! I would recommend him to any of my friends, family and colleagues!

Tried to call Chris and discuss what a terrible job he had did with my case and found out that his and Ryan Lewis' lawfirm has went under due to all the fraud. The lady that answers the phone stated they are now employees of Katskee, Henatsch & Suing and their law firm does no longer exist. Ryan Lewis and him are literally belly up. Pushing up daisies.

One of the worst attorneys I have ever spoken with. Thank god I found this review site of him. Could not agree more with the poor reviews. After researching Pfanstiel's name I found all sorts of weird things about him. He was publicly reprimanded by the BAR for deceit as well. BEWARE of this thief.

I am so sorry for not researching Mr. Pfanstiel before I hired him. It would have cost me a lot less if I would have just represented myself. I found out later that he had no experience with my situation but said he did just to get me as a client. Stood me up for an appointment that he arranged and then when I received a billing statement I found he had billed me for the time. Never prompt with a response unless it had to do with getting his money sooner than later. He was more concerned with asking me for referrals than he was about helping me with my situation. He didn't work for me and apparently I was not the only one who lost with this guy.

I agree with everyone else here. Do NOT use Chris. He is horrible. Doesn't do anything that he says. Charges you when you contact him to remind him to do what he said he would do. He sends people to court who have no knowledge of your case to represent you. All he wants is money. He will drag your case out for several extra months just so he can go to court more often and charge you more. Do NOT use him.

Listen to this one.... I was paying him regularly on a monthly basis but it got to a point where he decided not to communicate with me or do anything else with my case until I paid my bill down significantly. To top it off almost $10,000 later he had done nothing for me at all. My case was coming to an end when he decided to basically bail on me because I was not paying him as much as he would have liked. I got no support from him what so ever. Not a very understanding attorney. I had to get a second job to be able to pay him. He did NOT even care. All he cared about was the money. Please what ever you do, DO NOT I repeat DO NOT use this attorney, believe me you will regret it.

He not only cost me thousands of dollars on what should have been a clear cut case, it cost me time with my children!! As well as 10's of thousands to FIX all the problems he caused. Chris is the perfect example of why lawyers get a horrible rap. I told many people I would have been better off having a team of monkeys trying my case for me. Totally ridiculous that he is even allowed to practice law!

I'm relieved to see other bad comments. We were beginning to think it was just us or that we weren't seeing things right. I wouldn't even know where to start. What a mess! He charges you even if you send an email to say 'thank you'. Nothing gets done. Laxy daisy. Lets everything just crash and burn. I don't know whether to be more disgusted with Chris or myself for staying with him and allowing myself to get a mega bucks screw over. He seemed awesome at first, but no knowledge, doesn't show up, and lets the ship sink on critical matters, no response, oh... except for the bills. Those show up fine. Very very disenchanted. So many huge mistakes.. and who is paying for those mistakes after all this time? That's right. Me. Can't even get a stinkin' QDRO out of them.. a QDRO that wasn't even needed except that it ended up in the decree. He let the other attorney, not even a good one, just run us over. I can't say enough bad. All I can say is, don't do it!

Save your money, you'll get more good out of it if you throw it in the trash. Unresponsiveness, poor timing, evasiveness and general lack of knowledge are his strong points. Stay away from him or anyone associated with his "firm".
