I do not recommend Gail, she needs to retired, you are betteroff to represent yourself. Is sad to know that you have to battle against someone who hurt and find this lawyer to put you in a worst situation. Waist of energy, time and money

Worst lawyer in durham region. Listens to lies and doesn't care about putting the children first or their best interests. Her actions caused a mental breakdown and subsequent hospitalization for my teen. Horrible lawyer. Needs to retire immediately!!!

I lost my house because of Gail’s bad legal advice and I was homeless for 2 months with 2 kids because she left for vacation and it took months to get a hold of her. She was so unorganized and unprofessional. Yelled at me constantly. Would show up at court and not even read my ex’s brief and would be totally unprepared so my ex’s lawyer mopped the floor with her. Last time we were at court she forgot to file my brief and the judge ordered me to pay $1500 in my ex’s legal fees. Do not hire her she will never fight for you and let you get bullied and harassed. She refused to file any motions or get 3rd party disclosure from my ex after years of him deflecting and hiding income. Do not hire her ever. Find someone else!!! Anyone else! She’s easily the worst lawyer in Durham region.

Case badly mismanaged.Has dragged on for years.No communication.Haven`t had any communication in 6 months,I have no idea about the status of my case.Been given bad information from the start.Surprised that she hasn`t been disbarred

NEEDS TO RETIRE. Very unprofessional, Doesn't speak up for you, Yells at her clients and doesn't make them feel confident about the case. We had a very time sensitive matter, where she was supposed to take documents to the courthouse to file, which she didn't, so I had to run up there and file them myself and had less then 2 hours to have them filed. Thumbs down..

Completely unprofessional and unethical, failed to act on my behalf, didn't notify me when other side brought motions. Left me to handle urgent matter on my own and act on my own behalf.

Horrible lawyer! Wastes time and money, unorganized and mixes up clients paperwork, when she shows up for court she is late and looks unkempt - like she rolled out of bed after sleeping in her robes. Horrible in the court room, very terrible at making valid arguments. A total pushover. I do not recommend her. Her office staff was ok but the office itself was a disaster. Paper work everywhere, so easy to go through the confidential papers of other clients because they're strewn all over the place. She will ruin your case and destroy your family, please find someone else. Or tell your ex to hire her ??

Completely useless, She dragged my case on and tried everything in her power to talk me out of a more than reasonable settlement with my ex. I spent hours upon hours sitting down with her going over the same things again and again because she is so unorganized and completely unprofessional having to be reminded over and over about things we discussed in detain. then when she was supposed to draw up the agreement to sign that she told me would be finished and ready that week, she then ignored me and wouldn't return my calls for over a month and a half. When I finally got ahold of her assistant she tried to tell me they were waiting on documents from my exes lawyer, which was complete lies because my ex and I had worked out the agreement ourselves and all Gail had to do was put it in writing for us to sign. I would represent myself before I would ever consider retaining this joke of a lawyer ever again.

Gail may be older and may cost you money but she is a bulldog and will fight for you. And that is what you need. Knowledgeable in the law.

was very unorganized, had to wait several months before she could look at case. ex-wife's lawyer had to put into court to get a reaction.spent $7000.00 now onto a new lawyer.

Gail Macrae. If you mention her name to any other lawyer they all say the same.She is an imbarisment to the profession .Most don't want to deal with her cause she is all about the money and not her client

I would like to thank Gail for her expertise in dealing with my child custody case. Gail proved time and time again that she is extremely knowledgeable in Family Law, and although the opposing lawyer was very tough to deal with Gail never backed down and stood her ground. I would also like to thank Gail's law clerk Lynette for her patience and expertise in putting my mind at rest while going through this stressful time. I am very pleased to say that thanks to Gail and Lynette I won custody of my daughter, and my family and myself will forever be grateful. I would not hesitate to retain Gail's services again.

has too much on her plate..time for her to retire..observing her during the few times i met with her, she do not remember a subject from b, its a very unfortunate thing to have had her for my lawyer..for she had no best interest of my family, welfare or any matters but her and her taking the easy way out.. such laywers think , the public or the client can not think, dont think etc.. very poor in service and she has no time, nor does she cares to take the time.. each time i go in, i have to tell her the story/s over and over again..she then takes downs notes..which she dont remember the next time, apparantly my divorce papers were served or faxed to her. 5 yrs later i get a copy of it from the courts, while she did not attempt to contact me in anymanner and i got the feeling more than one time..that she works for the otherside.. and or something is going on that we have no idea of..because how can so many clients feel terrible with the experience of her representating us in court..

Extremely unprofessional service. The secretary was extremely rude when I called to inquire about their services. How can a law firm expect to get clients if they do not handle calls in a professional and respectful manner.

I am in disbelief to read the lies that someone has gone out of the way to write about this nice woman. As an ACTUAL CLIENT I would like to Thank Gail for helping ease the burden in my child’s custody battle.Gail took the time to get to know me and my family and for that I will be forever grateful. She was able to deliver positive results and protect me from an aggressive lawyer.

Gail MacRae was very unorganized. Clients paperwork in waitingroom where anyone can look at them. She is very non-communicative. She wont do any extra effort to get you what you want or moving along. Likes to waste alot of time talking so she can charge you alot (phone calls/letters). I wouldnt reccommend this lawyer if you want results.

I found Ms. Macrae to be very knowledgable in Family Law. She can't be pushed around by the other lawyer and although she had a mini stroke awhile ago it is not evident now. I am very satisfied with Ms. Macrae's services. Last review probably posted by her client's ex-spouse! LOL
