I am a retired attorney and I dealt extensively with Mr. Kepanis throughout my son’s divorce proceedings. Mr. Kepanis represented my son in a highly acrimonious divorce.
Mr. Kepanis representation was exemplary. I found him to not only be well versed in the law but very tenacious in his pursuit of righting the wrongs perpetrated on my son. His judgment is impeccable as he combines a practical approach to problem solving, recognizing that the costs involved must be considered before blindly pursuing a course of action.
I was most impressed with his dealing with his client. Mr. Kepanis walked the tight rope of friendship with his client, while not letting his friendship affect his professionalism. Unlike some other attorneys, while he was confident in his abilities, he did not display any egotism in responding to questions and strategies suggested. I met with 8 different lawyers before i chose Douglas Kepanis as my lawyer.He is honest, knowledgeable, and a top flight atty, I give him 2 thumbs up,Lets face it divorce sucks. My ex tried many things to ruin me and Doug was with me every step of the way, Im so glad i hired him. he offers one on one service and his reputation is first class.I used this site to do some of my research, and im here to post my results. What a wonderful, understanding and kind lawyer. His empathy is above all else that I have experienced through my divorce. Although I have not been able to retain him because I have already obtained a lawyer he always offers his best advice. I've found him to be more than just an attorney, he's an awesome guy!!! Doug handled my divorce and I couldn't have asked for a better guide during one of the most emotional times of my life. He is extremely knowledgeable and was able to calmly walk me through everything at a time when I felt like my world was spinning. Not knowing what to expect, he worked tirelessly on my behalf. He always picked up the phone, and constantly kept in touch with me to explain what was going on. Well, being I was an emotional wreck at the time, I am glad I found Doug. He always spoke to me on a professional and calm level, making sure I understood each step of the case. I have since recommended his firm to a few people I know. I am happy about my outcome and that I am finally able to move on with my life.
