she sucks,only after your money. doesnt give a dame about your case.she never shows up to court.When she does she does'nt say or do anything.The mojority of the time,,she sends her asst.that looks like she party all nite and rolled out of bed and shows up to court(a joke)Dont know how she has stayed working.look up her history on state bar,she has a history of beinng a screw up! She a deal maker doesnt know how to talk or do trail.She sucks

This woman is aweful and just in it for the money. She lied to our family and said she would hard and then did not know anything our sons case. She stuttered in court, the judge yelled at her and the DA laughed at her. In the end she blamed our son for getting in trouble. We had to borrow the money to afford her but now we stopped paying her and are sueing her instead. DO NOT TRUST THIS WOMAN.

I highly suggest that anyone in a situation wherein you have to rely on someone to fight for your rights and your possible loss of freedom; that you really do your research. Pensanti, on paper seems like a great attorney, a prayer answered.unfortunately, she's just in it to take your money. Months later, the lack of action she took in my fiances case is still negatively affecting my family. She's had disciplinary issues in the past, just check out the state bar's website. What more legitimate proof do you need?takr your money elsewhere, to someone who won't cost you a fortune and your freedom.

I made a mistake; was charged with a very serious crime and was fighting for my future and my ability to support my wife and children when I hired this lawyer. She fought long and hard upsetting both the judge and the DA.It was nerve wracking and I was unsure. She was also very expensive. WORTH EVERY PENNY.

She said she would fight for him, but she gave him the run around. Never speaking clearly, saying she didn't have paperwork we asked to see and now he's sitting in a prison cell, asking what happened with his attorney. If she was a public defender I would have understood I guess but she was supposed to be working for him, instead she railroaded him. I know for a fact he's not her only client to say she needs to stop doing what she's doing . Check the state bar site and see your yourselves .

My wife and I were referred to this lawyer by a woman that we met in the line when we visited our son when he was in the Los Angeles county jail. The woman spoke very highly of her and said that she did a good job on her sons case. Even though we were desperate for help we were also very sceptical never having to hire a lawyer before. We met with her and hired her. She was much more expensive than we thought she would be and the case took almost a year and what seemed like endless court dates. This lawyer is popular and it seems like she was always in trial and we did begin to worry. It all worked out when she was able to negotiate probation for our son. We were certain that he would do some prison time but he did not have to. We are thankful and recommend her.

I took a troubled teen into my home and was charged with 15 counts of child molestation. I was facing life the way that I was charged. It was risky and nerve wracking but I took it to trial. I was and am innocent. A jury agreed. I went to trial with Louisa Pensanti was found not guilty. She's a class act.

I would like to formally apologize for my previous rating. I originally posted an all 1 rating for this attorney and since I am unable to remove it, I'd like to say that I wrote it mostly out of anger. She is doing the best she can for this case and I look forward to seeing her do all that I know she is capable of doing for her client . And I know he and our family are looking forward to her fighting for him and doing the job she was hired to do.

In late 2011, my boyfriend hired Ms. Pensanti, believing that she would help him, and do it in a speedily manner. Instead, she has done the complete opposite. up until january of this year (2013) the case dragged on and on. She "arranged" a deal for him to plead guilty to a different charge, something minor, in return he would do his time in a rehabilitation center, and advised him to get into a program promptly. He did so, and he entered a program with the Salvation Army. On Friday, he returned to court for what she had failed to tell him was a sentencing hearing. He went in completely unprepared, no statement for the judge, nothing. The deal he made was not brought up, she did not fight for him at all. I advise anyone considering to hire her to not do so. Save your money for someone who will actually do their job. Also, in the last month prior to this past court day, she failed to return several calls that were made to her in regards to his case. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!

I hired this attorney to defend me on a DUI with felony evading charge where Santa Monica police detectives ceased my cell phone, laptop and camera equip out of prejudice for a sex conviction from the 90's. Of cousre they were also really poor sports about the whole evading thing. They even threatened to serve a warrant on my apartment in LA and had a judge raise my bail to 300k when I was arrested. This attorney got it all reversed. When Santa Monica PD refused to give my stuff back she had the judge call to ask them what jail they'd like him to put them in. She even took me to the City Attorney's office and waited with me to try to reason with them instead of court. The eventual outcome was just a DUI and I got all my gear back. This attorney is the real deal.

We live in Compton and were horrified to learn that our 26 - year - old son had sex with a 13 - year - old girl while they were both under the influence of drugs and alcohol. Besides being impaired he did not know the girls' age, as she looked and acted really mature. To make things worse he admitted what he had done to detectives.
The District Attorney wanted to send him to prison 6 years. They were very serious, stubborn and intent on that. Intead Ms Pensanti arranged for a 90 day evaluation where he was sent to a prison to determine whether he was worthy of probation. Their eventual recommendation was for a state prison term.
We knew that our son's actions were wreckless and criminal but felt strongly that prison would ruin his future. Attorney Pensanti and her team then brought in an expert who, along with her convincing argument caused the judge to grant probation. With their help we got our son home. We are a close Latin American family. We strongly recommend her.

I was on probation in Victorville CA when my boyfriend who was on on parole and his friends began dealing drugs. I ended up being arrested with them on drug charges and possession of stolen property and drug charges. In court a "package deal" was offered for all 14 of us but we all had to agree to what was offered and it required that my probation be violated and that I go to prison for 6 years. Ms Pensanti said that she would not send a mother of 3 to prison. About 60 days later I plead to the Civil Narcotics Offenders Program which sent me to rehab for 6 months and even reversed the felony conviction that I was on probation for when Ms Pensanti figured out it was an illegal sentence. When we were in court the judge didn't know how to take the plea and they had to call another judge in another city to figure it out. My son hired Ms Pensnti to defend him on a difficult sex case in the Pomona court. Before she agreed to take the case my son took a deal that included `a conviction and a 3 year state prison term. He did this at the urging of his previous lawyer. We were devestated. On her 3rd time in court she negotiated relentlessly with both the DA and his supervisor. She demanded and obtained probation for him that day in court after arguing for it for four hours. Because of her competentcy and tenacity my son avoided prison and a very difficult and restrictive 5 year parole with a GPS ankle braclet. Our experience of this lawyer and her firm was that every member was competent, commited and professional. We are grateful for them.

I was arrested for my first ever offense. Never been in trouble, clean record, and this lady who says she is an attorney sucks!!! Everything everyone has said is true. I paid her 1000 upfront with 1000-1500 owed depending on what she could do on my case.......well she did nothing. Had some bs standin come appear for her and I , yes I spoke with with the da in front of this standing dummy and got a plea deal myself. AND NO WAY DID I PAY HER ANYTHING AFTER!!! SHE CAN SHOVE IT LYING LADY!!! and she took the grim sleeper case for publicity.....she wants the public to think she's good ....HA SHE SUCKS!!!!

My same experience 2 years ago when I used her. She never shows up to court always has "stand ins" which I think are students. Once she had her assistant fill in for her. Aggravates the court and judges who she has wait on her to arrive to court and only for her to send in some other "Student attorney" who knows nothing about the law and have your case continued. Don't waste your time or money. I was ROBBED!

The WORST EXPERIENCE EVER AND I ALREADY PAID HER AND I CAN'T GET OUT OF IT. I AM FEARING WHAT'S GOING TO MY DAUGTHER. I HAD TO DEMAND MEETING WITH HER AND WHEN WE MET SHE WASN'T PREPARED AND DIDN'T KNOW MY DAUGHTER'S NAME AND SHE COULDN'T EVEN FIND HER FILE. I DON'T HAVE MONEY TO HIRE ANOTHER LAWER. Experienced the same as the above probably even worse--horrible communication, always had students filling in for her, did not prepare for case at all, my family member may serve a long sentence due to her improper practices. she didn't even know his name. Before you hire this lawyer, consider this no matter what type of case you have, if you have a bad lawyer, you're going to lose.
