Jill Bernstein represented my daughter who was charged with forgery and theft; first time offense. She convinced my daughter to plead guilty even though there was evidence to the contrary. Jill Bernstein never even looked into my daughter's background or the circumstances surrounding the charges. The prosecutor was very surprised my daughter plead guilty; the police who investigated the charges were very surprised. My daughter ended up spending 90 days in jail and now lives with a felony conviction - I'm convinced a good and caring attorney could have avoided this. Be very wary of hiring Jill Bernstein - make sure you understand the consequences before you let her convince you to plead guilty for something you didn't do.
