Fortunately this lady was my ex-wife's lawyer and not mine this lady is the most unprofessional foul person I've ever seen in a court building she tries to over talk everybody including the judge.even her appearance was off putting she look to be dressed for going to a sale at Walmart rather than a court appearance she actually made the other mutants down at Sacramento Family Court Building look like normal people, just a terrible and fundamentally gross human being please stay away don't give her a dime

I was a 5 year old child at the time who lived with my mom all my life. Mom has since commited suicide. Jill was my fathers attorney. We are not talking about right or wrong here and rather the ability for an attorney to win in court i belive these people all hate her because she beat them in court she is good at being an attorney if attorneys are good peope is neither here nor there

This is a terrible human being who shouldnt be allowed to do anything involving children because she diesnt care about their welfare.I really enjoyed watching Jill promise my ex wife she was going to get alimony reinstated, get her $15,000 in lawyers fees, take my boys away from me etc. because in the end none of it happened, and it made my lawyer want to help me more. This is the most unprofessional lawyer( her appearance is so unprofessional, coming to court in old lady shirts from Walmart and pants my grandma wears) I have ever come across in family court and my ex wife has had 5 of them. At least I know she only got paid her retainer and won't get anymore, my ex always move on when the bill gets high. She was reprimanded by the judge and the baliff on two different occasions. I overheard her getting sympathy from one lawyer because her mother just died and then heard her admitting to another it had happened 10 months earlier....class act. Hire if you want to lose.

Just checking on this Attorney since she worked against us in a custody case in 2002. She was rude then, made my husband out to be a scum of the earth man, and her demeanor was unprofessional and mean! I see she hasn't changed! I just wanted her to know that everything that she worked so hard (or hardly worked) to find us fraudulent and decteptive....was more than false! Not only is My husband's son living with us (for the past 12 years) I have raised him lovingly and he calls me Mom (I have 4 children in their 30s as well and 7 grandchildren) And my husband is the most generous and loving father that I have ever known! The woman that she defended, his biological mom, has had numerous relationships, been in and out of rehab and still doesn't have a REAL JOB! Jill made this woman out to be Mother Teresa at the time! Our son has grown up very confident, loving, happy, and talented! And he loves his Bio Mother very much, as it should be! He is understanding and forgiving, as are we!

The biggest regret I have regarding my divorce is hiring Jill Demmel to represent me. I would have done a better job of representing myself as Jill dropped the ball on several occasions and appeared to have limited knowledge of family law. Her demeanor was rude and unprofessional and I was embarrassed when we went to court because she looked disheveled and acted as though she had better things to do. How she still has her law license I'll never know.

I am very surprised that this "lawyer," as she calls herself, has not had her privileges suspended. How much protection does the review board provide for practicing attorneys? She is a disgrace to the profession.

I hired Jill Demmel and she promised things that should have been no problem to deliver but when the settlement negotiations started, she refused to communicate my options, told me to put my "big girl pants" on and accept the crappy deal she negotiated because she was too lazy to fight for anything better. I hired a different attorney and got everything that should have been a "no brainer" but Demmel cost me plenty in fees to do a poor job. If I could rate her a zero on all areas, I would.

I hired Jill to do my divorce in 2005. She said the divorce was straight forward and my ex would not counter,it would cost $2400 and he would pay half the legal fees but I had to pay up front - I had no money so I charged it! He countered,the divorce cost me $7000, he got both cars and did not pay 1/2 the fees as she promised & I was the one WITHE a lawyer. Years later I find out the order to pay could be enforced with a single form I could fill out on my own. When I asked how to enforce the order for settlement/alimony she shrugged and said "your husband said no" there is nothing else I can do.I would recommend others have legal aid and/or a paralegal review all steps in a divorce even if you have a lawyer. I was left w/o a car, legal fees, 2 small children and $4 in the bank all with the help of Jill. In review my paperwork is a mess and there is no way to recover even with my new knowledge.

Using Jill Demmel for a custody battle was a major mistake; she promised the sky but delivered the dung. She lied about the fact that she is impartial on parental rights of fathers and really damaged my case. I represented myself after the trial and received everything I asked for… Look elsewhere or represent yourself. A rating of one is being too nice; see was a horrific attorney/person.

Jill Demmel has been very rude to me and my family.Being a single father, I wish I had hired a good attorney but the judges do not like her. She is unprofessional and her attitute is negitive. She promised things she did not follow through on. I would not recommend her to anyone.
