Mr. Powell was hired to defend me in Burlington, N.J. I was badly beaten up by the Burlington police -before Rodney King--in what should have been a classic case of racial profiling. After taking $10,000.00 (up front), Mr. Powell did not show up to court, but sent some rookie with his firm to have me plea to beating the officer instead (although I was the one hospitalized). This ruling has had deleterious effects on my life even to this day. Mr. Powell has never -even- tried to expunge my case.
