I do feel confident that the papers are in order; however, I did feel the hurt. I asked for an estimate on the cost of the divorce. He stated $5,000 if we didn't go to court but if it got really ugly that it could go over $10,000. I hit $10,000 through coming up with an agreement myself and "due diligence" filling out his forms. The only thing he did was talk to me face to face twice and have his para fill out all the paperwork. It's been 5 months and just got what I hope to be the last bill.

I agree with the last person and the paperwork. My divorce ended up costing me $30,000 and we never even went to court and my ex and I had already split our property. He was a huge rip-off!

When I first met Brian, I was impressed because his demeanor is laid back, he is kind and caring. I hired him. Then the paperwork kept coming and coming - I got 2 to 3 times the amount of paperwork as my ex husband! And it was all billable time. UGH! You'll get paperwork explaining paperwork, and so much of it is unnecessary, although Brian will tell you it is necessary. Also, when we tried to sit down with my ex and his lawyer, Brian would bring up a subject, then my ex's lawyer would say why it wouldn't work, and instead of arguing with him, he'd just move on to the next subject. It was humiliating! He has no fight in him. Yes, he is a nice guy, but that makes for a terrible lawyer.
