ICBC is a multi-billion dollar organization with trained adjusters who’s agenda is to either try to settle cases immediately for a lesser value than what injuries and damages should be or they will draw the process out for as long as possible in an effort to force the injured party to settle for a lesser amount than what they may attain through court and continued litigation. Without an experienced lawyer with a reputation of being willing to take ICBC through the trial process than ICBC simply will not settle for damages anywhere near what the courts may award where ICBC is forced to pay a fair value for damages. You need an experienced lawyer with trial experience and a reputation for going to bat for their clients to navigate through this process or ICBC will take advantage of you. Overall there is nothing bad i can say about rick. His knowledge of the law and of field of work are a cut above the rest. He is an excellent communicator and always responds to emails within a few hours, something which many people have trouble doing. Rick's tenacity level as a lawyer is also commendable. He fought for the exact number that i had requested from settlement talks and even ended up getting me a little more than expected. Overall the experience i had with rick was great. He took the time to get to know me as a person and i truly felt he wanted to do what was in my best interest. Without a doubt, an excellent lawyer and a genuinely great person.

I found Richard to be extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of Personal Injury Law. Richard has many years of experience, and a wealth of knowledge in Personal Injury cases. He also has many contacts with the most top and highly sought out individuals that work with people that have been in accidents and because of this he was able to arrange many appointments for me that played an integral part in my recovery. I feel that Richard is sincere and looks out for my best interest. Overall, I was very happy with the outcome of my case. Rick and all of his partners who were involved in my case really did a great job! I felt that they had my best interests at heart, they made sure I was taken care of every step of the way. They made sure I had the absolute best specialist and treatments for my knee injury. Also, got me back to work by getting me into school again. I appreciate all their help. I highly recommend Johnston Franklin Lawyers if you have been injured in a motor vehicle accident. They did a phenomenal job!

I found Rick to be very knowledgeable and thorough. As I have a preexisting condition that complicated case he arranged for me to meet with many specialists that were regarded as being the top within their field. Rick is very straight forward and honest with respects to how he feels about the case and is very easy to talk to. My trial was a two and a half week jury trial and when it first started it was very reassuring that he was so well prepared and that he has such a great support group. Rick always seemed to be one step ahead of ICBC’s lawyer, but probably even more importantly he made sure that I was prepared. Because of his hard work and preparation I was awarded a very favorable settlement. I would recommend Rick to anyone that has been involved in an accident as he is not only a great lawyer but he and his staff are very caring and supportive, which allowed me to concentrate on my rehab and recovering.

To the best lawyer in the world. I hired Rick Johnston to act for me regarding a serious motor vehicle accident where I sustained a head injury and numerous other injuries. I used Rick Johnston for my accident claim. My claim was a little more challenging than a normal accident claim as it was an out of province insurance company(not ICBC) and the damages to the vehicle were pretty minor but my injuries however were not. I met with Rick on numerous occations to talk about my claim. He sent me to top specialists for examinations and requested images (MRI, CT scan, Xrays etc). He held my hand and guided me as we moved forward with my claim. My claim ended up going to court...5 days at Supreme Court. It was intense and also a pretty amazing experience. Rick was AMAZING in court...WOW! He had me wanting to applaud after cross examining the other specialists! Rick truely is 'the best' court lawyer. He was over prepared and quick minded, traits that are needed to successfully win your case. We won more than we ever asked for. Rick Johnston is very knowledgeable, prepared, and pleasant to talk to. Hire him for your case, you won't be disappointed!

Dealt with him for an ICBC injury claim. ICBC offered me peanuts after a car crash, and i almost took it, but I decided to open the phone book. Glad I came across him! I still have not gotten back to work as a result of my injuries and if I took ICBC's offer I would be regretting it now. He got me a very favourable settlement and was extremely knowledgable, patient and explained things in ways that I could understand. I've dealt with lots of lawyers in my life, good and bad. This one is highly recommended.
