Real life crook will take your money when I do any work done at the end, who claimed that he did profiles or did whatever, but he will not show any proof is an ethical unreliable, and I’m sure his son doesn’t fall too far from his line of honesy or integrity in his job. He has no sympathy or empathy and will not think twice about being two-faced. There’s a Phil that you meet before he has your money then there’s a Phil that you meet that won’t care about you, and then there’s the cutthroat Phillip you’ll meet afterward he got your money. He’s a liar and do not hire this attorney or his some Phillip JR. I’m sure the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Oh boy, this guy he should already retire instead of taking peoples money.

Phil....oh Phil...Phil is a great guy! I think when you've spent a life time with scum it tends to stick on you a bit. Phil was not only my attorney he was a person friend and a good one at that. He protected me from the wolves (U.S. District Court) when there was a conflict of interest he got me the top Public defender Matt B. and tolorated me being the person I was then. It's about time he get a fair review as an attorney. People may call him a dirt bag but again let me remind you of who he has the job of representing...dirt lol. Pill I hope you see this review and remember those days with your crazy old next door neighbor at 1007. Phil is a good guy and has a VERY intimate knowledge of the U.S. and state criminal courts. He was not the greatest communicator but knew how the system works in sac town. He helped me while at the same time preparing me for what the "worst" could be. When it was all over I am glad I had his help.

Wow ... what can I say other than wow about Phil. I'd lost all hope in attorneys who will take your money in a heartbeat and then just disappear. Mr. Cozens allowed us to go to Jesuit where he coaches boys water polo (his son is on the team) on a Saturday - normally his day off, to discuss the legal matter before us. Phil wouldn't even take our money. We had a situation where our daughter was arrested for domestic battery which was in fact self defense based on all of her bruises ... and Phil worked with the D.A. with no retainer and was able to determine that all charges were dropped before the arraignment. He collected nothing from us but gave us a tremendous amount of reassurance, time, and empathy.

Phil took 6000.00 up front then another 4000.00 mid case. After the money was collected he showed no interest in my case. He presented and brought out things in the case which were incriminating towards me all because he didn't look into my history. The guys a pro hustler disguised with a lawyers appearance. Unless you want to get convicted of your crime plus more on top don't appoint this crook to your case. Hope Karma comes back on you hard Phil.

I explained my case to Phil Cozens and he was confident about taking it on. He went on to tell me about all the years of experience he had etc. He made me feel as if I had picked a winner. Come to find that he was not all he proclaimed to be. Once he collected his fee of several thousand dollars, his interest in my case seemed to go out the window. Everytime I called him, he acted as if I was bothering him. He rarely returned calls and wasn't helpfull at all. I felt as if I had been scammed by this individual. He was no help in my case - instead of making things better they seemed to get worse. I would not recommend this person to anyone.
